Great Purchase!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this speaker for our 10-year-old Down's syndrome-autistic daughter who LOVES her Gospel music. She has carried it around near and far, and (unfortunately) has thrown it and dropped it many times. While it now bears a few scars (small but visible dents) on the exterior, it is far from being destroyed and still sounds absolutely beautiful! This is one of the toughest and best-sounding pieces of technology on the market! We love it and highly recommend it!

The new app and firmware is terrible

My BOSE Revolve cuts out audio from Alexa all the time. It makes it very choppy. BOSE blames Alexa yet when I switch to a different type of speaker I have no issues.
Now, the device wakes up randomly ANYTIME announcing it is ready to connect. Apparently this is a new feature they enabled and I'm told I can't disable it.
I tried to turn it off, but the power button does not shut down the unit. So I went to the "Bose preferred" community forum and learned many people have this challenge.
To solve this I ran the unit until it had no power and put it in a drawer in the den. There are other good speakers. Using this device with the new updates is too much work.
