Not much to write home about - Bose just joined the bandwagon of 360 speaker
Bose, who was a spectator with a market full of 360 degree speaker, joined the much awaited bandwagon. Will it differentiate itself from the rest? One has to wait and see.
Physical appearance and feel
Bose has gone with a Conical Frustum approach with controls on the top plane. The controls are pretty basic - Power, Bluetooth, volume and voice controls. At the base of the frustum is contact point for a cradle charging station, which does not ship with the unit. The base is also lined up with rubber to provide the much needed friction and dampen the bass, so that the surface on which it stands does not vibrate or jarr. Mainly, there is this lovely socket to mount the unit on a tripod! That is pretty clever. Behind the unit is the charging port - Micro USB and a Aux line-in. One would have wanted a USB-C.

The unit is sturdy as with every other Bose product. There is no feeling of cheapness. Overall it has a good form factor.
Connection
Connection was straightforward with Bluetooth. Enable BT in your Android (can speak for that alone) phone, switch on the Revolve, search the unit on your phone and connect it. Neither did I bother to use the Aux-in as the market/intention of the unit is for wireless connectivity nor I had the intention to use the Bose Connect App. The app, has not much to offer - would have been good if I had more than one unit of Revolve to check the app out.

Music Experience
Loud. That’s what came to my mind when I head the first piece of music through the device. Seems to be consistent with their marketing message, but the deep, powerful bass was missing - which others seem to quote. One can feel the music from every corner of the room, but some reason without the bass, I was not able to appreciate the effectiveness of the speaker. If one has to use the App to achieve it (via stereo mode), I would say the price point is way too over as the app is the selling unit than the speakers themselves. I have a wired bookshelf speakers set connected to my PC and they provide the clarity and bass for one-third price.

Best Speaker Ever!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you're a music lover like I am, and like to listen loud, this is the speaker for you. The sound that comes out of this little speaker is remarkable and was worth every penny. If you want to hear rock, or pop, or anything you love like it was meant to be heard, you need this speaker. And you can take it with you in the car... fits right in the cup holder. I wasted at least half of this cost on other lower cost speakers that never met my expectations. Don't waste yours! Believe me, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!!

I love my Bose Soundlink Revolve

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Like all of my Bose equipment, I love my Soundlink Revolve. When I got sent home to work, I bought this for my office. I use it every day to listen to Pandora from my phone. The sound is incredible. It's portable so I can take it outside too but we have two Revolve Plus speakers that we use for that. You cannot beat the quality of Bose.

Love the sound for a compact speaker. The battery life was to be 12 to 16 hours but after 5 hours the battery dropped to 10%.

I think this speaker is great, the sound quality is unbelievable. Set up was a breeze, and the phone capabilities are on point. No one has any problem hearing me or me hearing them. I will inform all of my friends about this speaker, my son has already purchased one since using mine! The only small suggestion is maybe having a storage case to place the speaker in if not in use, but other than that is a awesome speaker.

I love the sound this thing makes and I think two will look really nice in my office. I really want to try the party mode. I also purchased the charging dock that goes with this and it makes it much easier to move the SoundLink around the house wherever I go since I don't need to unplug a cable.
My only complaint was that the unit's battery was completely dead when I opened it out of the box. I had to plug it in to start using it, which meant I didn't get much juice to try out the wireless capabilities. I can't remember the last battery operated consumer product I've purchased that didn't have at least some charge to try out the full experience right away. I took one star away for this inconvenience.
