Engineers Dropped the Ball

We bought 2 of these speakers for myself & my husband. We use them independantly as well as together. We particularly wanted them for watching Netflix on our computer at night. These speakers sound great in every way, but imagine our dismay when we realized the volume controls DO NOT WORK on the units when paired to our brand new computer. My husband usually falls asleep before me so when a loud sceen comes on I like to turn down the volume so it doesn't wake him. Now I have to get up and trapse across the room to reduce the volume for the loud sceens and then repeat the process for when the sceen is over so I can hear the dialogue. I have no idea why a product that seems so advanced in every way can not be controlled from the unit itself. We replaced a JBL speaker that was a couple of years old and IT COULD be controlled from the unit. Bose Engineers please fix this issue! Volume control from the unit works just fine when paired with our phones.

Disappointed Bose User

I got this speaker as a gift for Christmas in 2018. I’m on my 3rd return for repair and hopefully a replacement this time. Reason: battery won’t charge. All troubleshooting and firmware done and each time I’m asked if I have the charging cradle. Nope, why would I purchase a cradle for a product that is defective, I have been a BOSE product owner for over 25+ years and this is first product that doesn’t live up to the standard I’m used to. For that reason only I can’t give a higher rating, when it’s charged the sound is phenomenal as I expect and the design is sleek.

Where’s the bass?

Great... But, not what I expected. I am unable to find out how to adjust the bass. It sounds a little ‘airy’. I have used various music files and music apps and I need more bass. Lastly, the volume is not loud as I need.

Sound is amazing but......

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this for my classroom (I'm a music teacher). The sound is amazing but the speaker cuts out. I don't know if it is my computer (I have a Macbook Pro) or the speaker. The other frustration is that the on button doesn't respond when I push it (even though the charge is 100%). One of my students told me they had one and had the same problem, but if they put on the charging dock and then remove it, the "on" button will automatically turn on. That does work, but the charging dock isn't near where I keep the speaker during the day.

Great sound, color & Shape poor connectivity

Sound is great, silver color is cool. Connected to my phone easy, still not able to connect it to my Amazon Alex device or even connect it to the Bose App.

Plethora of problems connecting

It seems like the most commonly searched question on google about the Bose revolve are its connectivity issues. I am so disappointed with the product--it suddenly disconnects from my devise (Windows 10), or it shows that it's connected and then stops playing music. It's so annoying... will try and return it if I can.

Good sound but connectivity sucks.

I bought 2 Revolve speakers for the stereo sound. The sound is good, up to Bose expectations. But trying to get these speakers connected and in Stereo mode is really frustrating. I go through the whole process and it fails the first time. I almost always have to do the process over again. I am very discouraged.

We're glad to hear that you have enjoyed your speakers, but are facing some connectivity issues when grouping in the Bose Connect app.

I would suggest you ensure that both your speakers are updated to the same firmware. Connect these to a computer via USB and visit https://bose.life/2yWwLK5 where you will find instructions on how to proceed.
