i got that for my grandaughter for Christmas for her ipod. i have a iphone 4 and have two otter boxes for it and i love them . i feel so safe with them on and would not do without them.

I researched many cases for an ipod touch 5g.
The other cases were ugly, bulky, had lint problems &/or did not offer much protection. Some do not have a screen protector either.

Otterbox cases cost more, but you get what you pay for.
I highly recommend this case. My teen loves it! The protection is great.
The covered areas for inputs are great for keeping out moisture & dust, but offer easy access when you need to use them.
The one thing I do not care for, is how hard it is to get the case off of the ipod, putting it back on is easy. Luckily she only needs to remove the case to charge her ipod.

This case offers top-notch protection just as any other Otterbox defender does, but it precludes the use of certain lightning chargers and adaptors due to the thickness of the plug.
