Love the covers, but the clear protector over the screen could be made to be closer to the glass screen of divice.
There always seems to be a air gap between the clear otterbox protector on both covers we purchased and it affects the use of touch screen.

I've removed this clear protector on iPod 5's but then it's always a pain to keep debris from under the cover of frame, and you end up pulling the otterbox apart to clean things up

this is a really good website and it covers all of your smart phones one time i dropped my ipod and it came to my head it was time to get a case so i was going to otter box and i got a case i tested if it worked and i was happy if u get a ipod 5 or an iphone 5 because they are really light and if u drop it it will break and u will have to go get a new screen so that mines if u don't want that to happen u should buy this case please tell your friends about this THANK.YOU.AND MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR .........

We have loved the Otterbox Defender on our iPhones, so when we purchsed a new iPod, we felt this would be the perfect case. It is extremely disappointing--the touch screen does not work once the case is on the iPod.
Pros: High quality, Durable
Cons: can't use the touchscreen

I was very excited for this when I finally got it in the mail. It was a nice case at first, but then time wore it down. The silicon is fraying at the edges, and tearing near the inputs and home button from me removing the case to clean my device because of the dirt and dust that gets through. That is the same reason why one of the latches on the hardshell has snapped. Also, somehow the actual screen protector got scratched, and it wan't as if I was playing the nails or anything like of the such. This is a very good case if you like throwing your things at walls and dropping them from heights, but other than that, this case is garbage.
Pros: protective
Cons: Low quality, Not durable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I just received an Otter Box defender series case, and no more than 24 hours later, I had to remove it so that I could clean the screen.screen protector to get rid of a unsightly rainbow spot beneath. I've barely had the case more than a month, and I've spent more time trying to get rid of the spots. I heard great reviews about this case, and those persuaded me to get this case over other brands. And to boot, one of the clips snapped, so the case does not seal completely.
Cons: Low quality, Not durable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Buttons WAY harder to push

Buttons WAY harder to push and for me this is unfortunately a deal breaker as I have some issues with my hands. I had gotten my son the defender for his ipod 4 and have no problems with this case/buttons at all (which is why I sent for the new defender for my ipod 5). Case also too hard to open (drag for switches to dock).
Pros: High quality, Durable
Cons: buttons way harder to push

I have an Otter Box shell for my iPhone, iPad, and Ipod. I highly recommend the devices for all three units. Although they are a bit bulky, the protection they provide is well worth their size. I use my devices daily, and find no issues whatsoever, although it takes a little getting used to the extra pressure needed to use the buttons on the devices. I have had no unintentional "butt dials" or other unintended button activation, due to the protection the Otter Box shells provide. The expense of the units may seem high but the quality of the shells is excellent, and well worth the expense.
Pros: High quality, Durable, appearance, longevity
