Drops calls and gives no sim error!

On Verizon this phone constantly drops 4G calls and gives a "no Sim" error where other phones work. Google "Verizon Galaxy S3 no sim". It would be a great phone if it could make reliable phone calls.
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Samsung Galaxy S3 is not worth a dime

Yes the screen is beautiful.......but if you can't get signal, it isn't worth a dime. My Dad and I went on a trip 40 minutes away.
His phone is a seven year old "dumb" phone. I spent good money on my "Smart" phone and didn't have signal during 98% of the trip. My Dad is also on the same carrier, so it is not the carrier.
Samsung needs to come out with a patch or an antenna quickly on this.. Sorely disappointed and I wouldn't recommend it. A lot of money for nothing.
Pros: Bright display
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, horrible antennas, low battery life
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very Poor Signal Strength
on September 15, 2012
Posted by: nbduley
I got the first one the day it was issued to Verizon. Could not maintain a signal long enough to make or receive calls. I live in a rural area, but have a near-by US Cellular tower which should provide me with a consistant signal. Then it crashed. Like DEAD. Verizon replaced it for me, same exact issue. Then it, too, died. So I switched to AT&T, and still have a signal issue. My husband has an iPhone 4s and it works perfectly here on the AT&T network. We compared signal strength with 2 apps the same on each phone, his signal is way stronger than mine, he never has connection problems, I can't even complete one call! Our comparative tests indicate that the G S lll is way inferior to at least the iPhone in comparative signal tests. I am turning in my AT&T GS lll for an iPhone 5 the day that phone hits the market!!!!
Pros: i like the large screen
Cons: Did not meet expectations, very weak signal strength
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Overly Restrictive/Bloated Software Ruins Nice Hardware
on November 21, 2012

The Galaxy SIII is a nice piece of hardware. It's a shame that Samsung decided to place so many restrictions on the software and add so much bloat that can't be removed. BLOAT: This phone comes with way to much stuff installed that is completely useless. To date, I disabled fifty two different apps/processes to improve the phone 75% of those processes were Samsung added. CONTROL: Then you have the problem of control. "Papa Samsung" says you can't set the volume to anything that they don't like permanently. Shame since that's the volume I need to use. Just one of the many you must do it our way problems with this phone. HARDWARE: The hardware is really good. Fits nicely in your hand. Good screen, Shame it was ruined.
Pros: Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations, bloat, restrictive software, forced mms no more sms, expensive
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Apps need more options
on October 9, 2012

from Syracuse, Ny
I went from a Blackberry to Galaxy S3, not happy as most of the apps do not have the same options as the blackberry, if I want to delete something from my handheld, i don't necessarily want to remove from my account (email, facebook). As for notifications....well cant get FB to give me any notifications and have tried several diffenent things to get it to work, it won't. Keyboard is too touchy and chooses letters I am not even close to. Not sure I would recommend this to anyone, too many issues need to be resolved yet.
Pros: Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
