My first smartphone. Looked at my sons' iPhones and found the Galaxy superior. Lots of useful features. Easy to get around. I like the ease of access to my Google account information and data.
Pros: Inexpensive

Coming from a Motorola smart phone to the Samsung Galaxy S3 was the best decision I ever made. Just switching between apps, and the funstionality of this phone is a breeze. I am glad I read reviews and really checked out the phone, I am so happy with the result. Oh!! The battery life rocks! The only thing I would change is the color of the phone, my next one I will pick one in a different color.

The phone is an easy to use phone with excellent battery life that is capable of so much. Phone quality is very good, the only issue I have is the voice recognition replay doesn't even follow phonetic rules.
Camera not bad for a phone. Some have complained about the screen, but it is really very good.
Handles phone memory very well, much better than the HTC.

Better Than iPhone

I love my Galaxy sIII so much I convinced my husband to upgrade from his iPhone and get an sIII too. I really love using swipe on the keyboard entry rather than the hunt-and-peck style of typing. Great screen, with infinite ways of setting up panels. The starter view is great for folks with difficulty seeing small icons. And 4G is super-fast. Happy with this phone!
