This is my first smart phone and I am really amazed of all the features: Voice to text, voice search, gps with voice turn by turn directions I can go on and on this has so much more than my old phone. So if I am going to recommend a smart phone it would be a Samsung Galaxy.:-)
The GS III is an excellent phone. The size, and features available on this phone are incredible. I have had several phones and this one is my absolute favorite.
I like the S3 but it does require a lot of learning as it is very non-intuitive especially in the setup. There are far too many setup choices that have little to do with each other. I mean that to say that there are many choices to make but they are separated and not in a group in like settings.
It would be nice if there were a way to select a set of choices and then see a resulting example before it is committed to changing the way it had been previously. This methodology would let users "play" with various settings and see what effect it had.
It seems as though there is no one at Samsung "in charge" of ensuring that the sum of all of the parts and apps work together to make a whole that is the best for the user.
Using the analogy of an automobile the S3 gives the driver a huge selection of settings but not one or several that are the best for users. That would be like a car with dozens of dashboard switches or settings for the driver to play with as the car is moving.
In spite of my thoughts the basic phone is remarkably excellent.
Pros: Durable, finctional
Cons: too many settings
I would recommend this to a friend!

There are no other products that can beat this phone other than the samsung galaxy s4....And i am getting that one next.hehehehehe
I love my Galaxy III. The ease of use, the ability to navigate from app to app is awesome, the swype feature, maps and navigation. The uses are endless. The only pitfall is that my email doesn't sync from PC to phone. I have to manually delete the messages I've already read on the PC.
I tried other manufacturers products before deciding on the Gs3. I thought it may be too large but it has worked out fine. Very user friendly, too many features to list.
