I've had the Galaxy SIII since October. Over the course of my ownership of the phone, I've dropped it, put it in the same pocket as keys, scraped it, had it fall between my car seats, and finally dropped in a sink. This phone stands up to the accidental abuse fairly well, although the Gorilla Glass now has a few scratches.
Turning on Power Save mode really helps my battery life. I can go all day messing around on my device without having to charge it. The downside is that I don't get full processing power when I do this.
The phone is pretty light for how large the screen is. Speaking of the screen, I've noticed several black spots when the screen is black. Not the same shade of black, but "black-er" than the rest of the screen. Supposedly this is the downfall of an AMOLED screen. This is fine with me, because there's no dust under the screen. Dust under a screen is the bane of my existence.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, battery life
Cons: Not high def, gorilla glass scratches

Great Phone...minus the music Hub

I have been using the GSIII since early November and I love it. I had been an iPhone user before that and was concerned about the switch, however it was painless. The only flaws I have found is that some days my battery is worthless and has to be charged in the middle of the day. I also was not a huge fan of the music hub on the GSIII. It takes almost 2 minutes to open and sometimes it will just stop playing when switching songs and has to be forced closed and then reopened to work again. I also wish there was an easier way to transfer my iTunes over to it without using Windows Media Player.
Cons: Not high def, music hub, battery life somedays
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have gone through a lot of phones, each one having major issues that would cause an upgrade. I think I finally found the best phone ever. I love my Samsung Galaxy S III. I probably would have upgraded to the Galaxy Note 2, when it finally released to Verizon, but I need a phone pronto and I'm so glad it was the S III.
I've had my GS3 for approx 6 months now. As a power user (one who relies on their cell phone and uses many, if not all, of the features) I have never been so impressed. The combination of performance and reliability is outstanding.
