Sleek Elegant and Powerful

This is a fantastic phone. I upgraded from the Droid X, and it is like night and day. It has a beautiful design and is twice as fast as my previous phones. One of the selling points for me was the USB connectivity. I can pop in a USB stick and catch a movie or audio book on my hour long car pool to work. It's just too bad that most of my trip is in 3g areas, but video streaming is flawless. On my Droid it was a bit choppy. The display is huge, but the overall size of the phone is not that much bigger than my previous phones. I don't have to strain my eyes to read a web page or email. The videos I've taken are fantastic in full HD. I love the new status bar with the toggle buttons. This is very handy. I just wish it had a brightness toggle on it. The only thing I have liked about the S3 so far is that it dims at odd times when the auto brightness is enabled. I just put a brightness toggle on the home screen and took care of that. I just dim it manually when I want to. All in all I think this is the best phone on the market at this time. I'm excited about the Jelly Bean update coming soon with a lot of new features I'm looking forward to.
Pros: Realistic color, Lightweight, picture quality, cusomizable
Cons: price

People still forget that this is still primarily a phone that has other amazing possibilities. That is the way I judge this great gadget. It is simply brilliant; only down side is battery life.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Samsung GS III

I really like this phone....so far. I've had it for about 3 days, and there are a couple of things that I'm not really estatic about.
1. For whatever reason, I cannot move any apps from the phone to the SD card. I asked Verizon about this and they said it's not something they've done. I can only assume that Samsung has some kind of block on any app that will allow the move. Not cool in my book. I'm hoping that this annoyance is fixed in the next update.
2. Battery life is a little disappointing. The battery was completely charged at 8 AM, and by 4:30 I had to plug it in to charge. I was only on the internet for no longer than 5 minutes ...total...a few phone calls, and a couple texts...not any where close to heavy use. I can see where a spare battery will come in handy.
3. I'm not really thrilled with all the bloatware either, but that's the price one must pay these days for extending a contract in today's marketplace.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight

First smartphone

This is my first smartphone & I am enjoying all the features it has. I spend a lot of time on the road & the nav system has made my travels much easier. I seem to run through battery life quickly, so I'm ordering a back-up battery. I'd like to try listening to music on it, but won't till I get the battery issue solved. The only drawback for me with this phone is design. I can't touch it without turning something on, taking a picture or opening an app. I've turned on the swipe feature & the screen lock, which is a pain when you upgrade from a clamshell design. Overall I like the phone, think I'll find a sturdy cover & see if that helps!
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color

Better each day!

I got my Galaxy S III on November 2nd and it's easily the best phone I have owned or tested. For the first time, as new smartphones are rolling out every month, I am completely satisfied with the decision I made to get the S III. It's fast, powerful, and packed with features! The pop-up play is quickly becoming my favorite feature and when Verizon FINALLY decides to update to Jellybean, I am only going to be happier!
Pros: Inexpensive, Realistic color, Lightweight

The only downfall for me is the placement of the volume button. When you press and hold the volume on one side of the phone, you also grab the on/off on the other side of the phone.
Pros: Bright display, Durable
