This just isn't just the "NEXT" phone that Samsung dropped off at our feet. This phone is special. It has features better than any other phone i have had. Which includes dozens. By far i am thrilled to own this phone and the battery life is awesome!
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, battery, extra perks!!!

Overall a really good phone

Overall this phone is really really good. The only features holding back a full five stars on all the list categories amount to two. First, is the locked bootloader Samsung installed on the phone with one cell provider. That's just plain unsatisfactory. The second is the HD Amoled/PenTile screen. Yes, the blacks are black, but they can be splotchy. It doesn't look right. Yes, the contrast is great and the display is clear and sharp, but the brightness is poor. I unchecked the automatic brightness setting and ran the screen brightness all the way to the top to resolve it as much as possible. It provides for a very satisfactory experience in a house/room, but with any bright outdoor light entering the room, or in the outdoors, it's washed out and difficult to see. Those are the problems with existing Amoled/PenTile technology and it's still apparent on this phone.
Otherwise, everything else is great! It's fast, smooth and efficient. It just plain works very well without any creaks or groans in the phone's body.
I would certainly recommend this phone to anyone, with the only warnings being the ones given above.
Pros: quiet body
Cons: poor screen brightness, locked bootloader, pen/tile artifacts

BEST PHONE FROM VERIZON!

This is such a great phone for verizon though id still chose the galaxy note over this phone but sadly its not on verizon :(

Just got this phone on Saturday. My recent phone was absolutely horrible and I had to add a line to my plan to avoid paying full price, however, this was definitely worth it. I am an Apple freak and swore that my next phoen would be an iPhone. The sales representative let me check out his personal Galaxy phone and I fell in love. Everything about this phone so far has been great and I definitely have the worst luck in the world with cell phones!!! The ONLY con that I can even think of is the screen brightness. But it is not bad at all. Two thumbs up to Samsung.

Exceeds my expectations

The display is great, the camera is fast and takes great pictures, the phone overall is very fast and I love how things can be personalized, for example, messaging font size, color, etc. The headphones that came with my phone are awesome and the sound quality is very nice. I have only had one app make my phone freeze, and I needed to do a battery pull. The battery does drain faster than I expected, but I do use my phone quite a bit, and I have the screen set to automatic brightness. I have had trouble with the Swipe function while texting (doesn't pick the right words probably 80% of the time and sometimes doesn't detect the word at all), and I resort to typing the letters in individually, which isn't a big deal. Overall, I'm extremely happy with this purchase! I've already recommended it to friends.

Overall, I am happy with this device. It still has a bit of a learning curve, but that's expected with any new technology and the Galaxy packs in a lot of new options.
