no sim error with verizon s3

alot of customer are experiencing connection issue. random phones would lose connection in certain places, and they are unable to make calls and receive calls. funny part is if you reboot it, it let you make one call or receive one. problem gets worse, its happening to random phone of same type. I just returned my new s3. what is the issue here.
After using a phone for a week now, here's what I've noticed. The auto-brightness feature functions erratically and changes screen brightness for no apparent reason even after i turned off the "auto" feature in settings. The web pages do not format properly to fit the screen half the time. The browser scrolls with a slight delay and a bit choppy. Because the phone has such narrow borders, it is impossible to handle it without accidentally pressing touch sensitive "menu" and "return" buttons. The space bar on the keyboard is way too short and causes you to mistype. The user interface is convoluted and confusing. I've spent hours organizing "home screens" only to realize that all the icons on the home screens are merely short cuts to all the programs in app launcher, so after that you have to organize all the program in app launcher. I see no sense in having identical icons in both because you have to organize in two separate places. If you move an app from app launcher to one of the "home screens" it should actually move it completely in stead of just creating another duplicate icon. The default email client is not user friendly and has a huge delay pulling email from your accounts even after refreshing manually. There is no option to move emails between different email accounts in order to organize them into folders. The single speaker is very weak and sounds poorly. The general feel and finish of the phone is light and plasticy, it does not appear or feel like it's build from quality materials with precision.
Pros: none
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, brightness erratic, speaker weak, keyboard space bar too short, user interface too complicated and cluttered, performance laggy and choppy
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

VZW Galaxy S III "No Sim" error

Upon receiving my phone late Friday afternoon, August 3rd, I was blown away by the performance of the phone. The size, weight and features are awesome. The screen is fantastic, and continuous shots are amazing. But the biggest gripe and most important feature of the phone doesn't work.
I came into work this Monday morning only to be riddled with failed to send text messages, missed calls, and a "No SIM" error message. What happened from This weekend up until today that my awesome phone transformed itself into a tablet? Verizon and Samsung has some explaining to do. I love the phone, but if I can't use it as a phone to make calls or send texts, my 1 star rating will have to remain until my issue is fixed.
The phone is beautiful & the screen is awesome. But I cannot use the phone most of the time due to "NO SIM" error, and lost of mobile network constantly. I live in the middle of the city & other Verizon phones do not experience this problem. It has to be a phone/tower incompatibility issue. Lots, LOTS, LOTS of people are having this problem. I do NOT recommend you purchase this phone if you plan on using it for calls or SMS, until Samsung/Verizon address and fix this issue.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So far, so good!

I just purchased the Galaxy S III a few days ago. So far, I like it. It is very similar to my Galaxy S, only faster with better graphics. I really wanted an iPhone for their Siri, but I'm hoping to use S-voice or Jeannie to do what I need. The only thing I do not like is that the phone is too big! It is hard to use only one hand to navigate around on the phone.
I rated the phone as a "3" because of the large size and the lack of competiveness with Siri!
I like the clean OS of ICS 4 and the size of the screen. I really liked the e-mail intereface. However, it has two big flaws. One, if you use an audio cord in your car it confict with the blue tooth and you can't answer the phone unless you take the cord out. I would expect that same thing to happen with headphones. Second, I couldn't get the camera to take a clear picture. Even for still shots, they were coming out blurry and I messed with the settings to fix it but couldn't. I really wanted to love this phone but ultimately took it back.
