This phone is easy to navigate the set-up and easy to use. Great easy to view screen and endless functions with endless apps. I thoroughly enjoy this phone.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Lightweight, camera

Upon purchasing my Galaxy S3 a while back, I had a feeling a was making a great decision. My decision in fact was a great one once I unboxed and booted the device. The display was amazing (compared to other flagship smartphones), processing speed was above par (but not fascinating), photos were great (but at times took too long to open - especially when I bounced back and forth between the camera and gallery apps), the texture of the device was manageable (although it did look good from a distance), battery life was surprisingly decent despite the shots many Android users frequently took at Android smartphones, and features were somewhat beneficial (although not all cutting-edge features on the device - like AirGesture - functioned properly). All of the above was great ... up until a little over one year following the purchase.
After about one and a half years of using my Samsung Galaxy S3, I noticed a drastic decline in performance, speed, reliability, and charging speed. Nothing more needs to be said about performance and speed as the device itself started to lag, freeze, and even automatically restart.
Reliability and charging speed go hand-in-hand because some days my S3 would charge perfectly (and the battery life would be fine), but other days it would fully charge in 6, 7, or 8 hours. EIGHT HOURS!!!!!!!!!!! Unbelievable! I'll leave it at that. To my knowledge, the MicroUSB port malfunctioned and only began receiving a certain amount of current [insufficient for a proper charge] blah blah blah. On top of that, the battery life worsened. I would use the device for the same things I originally used it for, but my S3 would die in about 5-6 hrs (as opposed to the 7-9 hrs it originally lasted for.

I don't want anyone (or anymore people) to suffer the same things I did. Not saying that anther Samsung Galaxy S3 user will experience the same exact faults as I, but similar fluctuations in performance [I am more than confident] is bound to occur.
Thank you Samsung, but I am sooooooooooo looking forward to upgrading my S3. I'm not even sure to what smartphone though. I am definitely considering more than just Samsung this time.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, nice-looking from afar
Cons: microusb port malfunctions, airgesture was never consistent, it is plastic, wayyyy too much bloatware, headphone jack became a disaster
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love my galaxy s 3., it's by far the coolest phone I've ever owned. Would have got the s5 if I could afford it, but im very happy wih my s3. does

I have had my SIII since it came out and I still absolutely love it! User friendly, customization, I don't have to guess where things are because there are in logical places on my phone (settings). I will have this phone until it just stops working, that's how much I love it!

I've owned my s3 since Oct 2012. Its the first phone I've owned that hasn't had to be replaced or had to have a reset during the 2 year contract. No freezing up that I have experience From other phones in the past .I like it so much that hear it is April 2015 6mo past my upgrade an I'm still loving it. Its Samsung for me 4 now on

I got this phone for my wife. She mostly uses it to make calls when she needs to while away from the house, and maybe an occasional text. She's a little intimidated, but still trying to learn more about its features. I bet you couldn't take it away from her.
