My first forray into Samsung smartphones

I went from a droid x2 to this samsung galaxy sIII, and the differences couldnt more apparent. its awesome to look at, its soooo much faster, and its got a ton more space. I know that this product isnt the newest nowadays, but now that i know where samsung started, ill be sure to buy from them again, with teh s4, or s5 now.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: slippery
I would recommend this to a friend!

The only downfall I've had is the numerous upgrades coming through lately. After each upgrade some of my personalizations I've set disappear and have to be reset. And, some apps have began freezing lately. All in conjunction with upgrades getting annoying!.

I have gotten two Samsung Galaxy S3 phones in the past six months.I have never had a phone with such high matenience and a "when I feel like it" attitude.
Overall dissapointment
Cons: Poor quality, Not high def, Did not meet expectations, has continuous glitches
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

After owning 2 Droid 3's I'm totally amazed at the features and performance of my Galaxy SIII!
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight

We need to have better and more RAM. So dont lose it. Reat all is ok with a phone.

In comparison to other phones I have had my Galaxy outshines them all in performance, reliability and dependability
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Lightweight, easy to use compared to other models i've had.
Cons: the side tab is annoying and gets in the way.

Was Perfect for a Long Time

I purchased my Samsung Galaxy SIII new in October 2012--for a pretty hefty sum at the time--and I just fell in love with it immediately. The smooth, sleek design was attractive, high-end, and easy to use. The Android OS installed on the phone was fast and very powerful. The camera has always taken really fantastic quality photos--whenever my friends and I do a group photo, they request we use my phone because the pictures turn out so great! All-in-all it is a wonderful gadget. Everything about it is intuitive and useful and of very high quality. I would without hesitation give it 5 stars...
However, I noticed after I dutifully downloaded the most recent software "upgrade" the whole thing is sooooo slow. The simplest tasks take forever. Though photo quality is still great, opening the camera app is a daunting chore. Forget about taking a quick snap of something you see when you're out and about--I have to keep my camera open if I plan on taking any pictures, or I will be standing there forever just trying to get it to open. The camera has also crashed several times during use, rendering the app unusable until I restart the device. Pressing the home button used to light up the lock screen instantaneously, and there is now at least a full second and a half delay. Sometimes nothing happens at all, so I have to press the button repeatedly just to get into my phone. Additionally, the phone becomes unresponsive very easily, if I try to do many of the same things I used to do on it. I am convinced that this very sudden downturn in functionality has to do with the most recent software update, and I plan to take it into Verizon for troubleshooting. In this world, where instant gratification is necessary, the newest software has made the device sticky and glitchy, and it has become almost unbearable to use.
Still, overall, I give the product 4 stars, since it was practically perfect for 18 months. Samsung makes fantastic products, and I am loyal to the manufacturer. I hope that my software problems can be fixed because I do love this phone so much. I plan to buy whichever Samsung smartphone is hottest when it's time to re-up my mobile contract.

Great features

This phone is a great basic smart phone. It takes great pictures, but as it is getting older it is slower to respond and at times I have to restart it for it to pick up internet. Overall good value for the price.
Pros: Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color
Cons: Too big
