Dual Tray

It works great most of the time, the only problem I have so far is printing from Outlook. It prints in tray 1 only, even when I changed it to print in tray 2.

So far so good, this is the first Brother printer I've purchased.
Set up was simple & connected to the home network w/o any issues. Use a hardwired printer connection to the router. The hardwired and wi-fi pc's on the network have no issues printing. Printing is relatively quick and a dialog box shows the status of ink & paper tray with each print job.
The Software utilities are useful, use the scan feature to create pdf files on a regular basis.
Like the 11x17 paper size option, use this for printing reduced size electrical dwgs.
Did have to download & install the print driver separate from the full software package. One PC didn't seem to have all the printer features with only the full software installation.
Hopefully in the long run the print heads/print quality holds up, tried a Brother this time when the last two non-Brother printers started having issues within two years.

Good Machine

It took several attempts of loading the software as I originally was setting up wireless had to go USB to eliminate printing issues. If you print shipping labels read their warning must use the MP tray we are attempting to try this to see if we can continue to use the machine for this purpose.

The Best Inkjet Printer/Scanner/Fax. Period!

I have run my own small business since 1991 and owned HP inkjet printers that have lasted about three years each. I have been using the Brother eMFC-J5930DW since July 2017 and also subscribe to automatic ink cartridge replacements. This printer simply continues to run and run and run. This is the best inkjet printer I have ever owned and have recommended Brother inkjet printers to many people.

Every feature needed (or wanted)

I haven't owned a Brother since my old Selectric typewriter, which I still have and it still works! I was thrilled to find a multi-purpose machine that is a fax, with ability to save fax digitally but also has auto duplexing paper feed for all functions: fax, copy, and scan, all at a very affordable price. I've been really happy with it after several months and the ink refills are very reasonably priced. The only thing I had issues with was the initial setup, which didn't go totally smoothly. The basic plug-and-play setup was fine, but to get to the fine detailed settings was a challenge. The screen menus are incomplete and unclear. It didn't come with a manual, the manual on-line didn't have all the info, I had to search on-line, and even then, I couldn't find everything. Many functions require you to enter a number code but the code can be hard to find. So it took many hours over several days of going on-line to search or re-trying the manual directions to get everything set up. Even now, the digital fax setup still often displays an error that it's not connected when it is. It works fine, so it clearly is setup right, but I get annoying error messages. So basically, I'd give a low 3-star score for setup, but once it's setup I'd give it 5 stars for performance.

Good All in One

All features are working acceptably; however, the scanner is very noise intensive and slow. Scanning is a feature I use alot.

If you're looking for a real good printer, this is the one you need for a home business or small business all in one printer.. prints great, photos come out very nice and best of all prints much faster then my old printer. plus I like the quite option. it also tells you when the paper tray is low. as long as you folllow the set up instructions and make sure you uninstall the old printer software from your programs. this thing is a work horse. I should have bought a Brother printer long ago.
