Wish I had returned it...
on November 28, 2020

bought this monitor like... 2 years ago or so because i just had to have a 4k display for my xbox one x... at the time i was convinced 4k was all i cared about, but the fact is this monitor is garbage if you intend to use the hdmi ports. first off each port has different capabilities (only one with do 60hz) but neither support the suite of features this monitor has to offer. i held out hope maybe some sort of firmware patch might correct this some day, or maybe adapter technology would catch up to allow me to use hdr and vrr with the hdmi port but no avail. so on top of all that the color looks bad, i assume because i cant use the hdr. monitor has been a subpar experience for years, wish i had returned it while i could
tl:dr- i should've returned it when i got it.

Picture is good, Selection joystick is horrendous
on July 17, 2021

the picture looks good and works for games but the control joystick ruins the monitor. it has been nothing but frustrating since i got it. i have updated the firmware and reset the monitor multiple times in hopes it would fix it and it's still the same garbage. i would have loved this monitor but the joystick is that bad. it ruins the monitor and makes me wish every day i could afford to buy a new one.
the joystick is unresponsive, often taking multiple presses for the menu to appear. the input selection auto choice is a joke as i only have dp plugged in and it continues to choose to sit on hdmi 1 despite no connection there and a live signal on the dp channel. turning off the monitor takes entire minutes at times due to the menu not appearing. its position also makes it awkward to use.

Love it! I bought this monitor a couple of years back (late 2019) and 3 years after, it still works great and is not obsolete. The resolution is great and I love the fact that I'm able to connect a few devices at the same time (2 HDMI ports and PIP)
I would recommend this to a friend!

They were good while they lasted!

Bought two of these for a dual monitor setup and one of the two went out 2 or 3 months ago. Started with a weird white screen after waking from a sleep state, but would eventually show my PC's desktop. After about a week of that symptom it eventually stop showing anything but an all white screen. Now the second one started doing the same thing and is now just showing an all white screen. I realize this model has been out for awhile, but two of this dying the exact same way within a couple of months of each other!? Makes for a very poor experience and has me looking for replacements from another vendor.

Response from Samsung USBy SamsungJanuary 18, 2024
We are very sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with your monitor. Although your monitor is out of warranty, we invite you to contact Samsung Customer Support for troubleshooting to see if we can resolve your issue over the phone.

If our Customer Support agent determines that service is required, they will review the flat-rate service fee for your monitor. It would not cover the cost of shipping your monitor to us, but does cover the cost of shipping the monitor back to you. You are responsible for shipping fees to Samsung Customer Service; we recommend using a trackable shipping service like UPS.

You can reach Samsung Customer Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG and a representative will gladly help you.

Thank you for choosing Samsung. Again, I am very sorry for the current issue. We look forward to hearing from you.
