Faulty monitor

I bought this monitor less than 2 months ago and I guess my model was faulty at the beginning. It is hurting my eyes like the GPU driver isn't installed, however it is and I have a GPU that supports 4k. THe feeling is like the screen is flickering all the time and I cant work more than 2 hours on it. And this is not a brightness issue. Even with low brightness I still can't work on it. Also, it was not turning on with the PC and I had to manually turn it on. So I brought it to the official warranty and I received it back only 1 month later. It turned out that the motherboard of the monitor was faulty. It seems that it fixed the eye hurting and weird static sounds the screen was making. Now a week or two later, the screen is hurting my eyes again and the HDMI2 sometimes is turning off and doing some visual tearing. And it is not the cable fault as i tried it with multiple ones. Now i have to take it again back to warranty for the second time owning a new monitor for less than 2 months. I feel absolutely tired of this. I want to get my money back or get a new screen, as it is complete nonsense that you have to fix a completely new screen already 2nd time in couple of months. Besides all this, I am not sure if the picture quality is also that good based on the device description.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

NO SAMSUNG Drivers available

Without Samsung drivers it only runs generic display drivers and is NOT optimized for gaming. VERY POOR support on the Samsung site which will continuously run you in circles to find a driver that does not exist. This is NOT disclosed on the packaging. In the past I have used Samsung appliances, Phones, laptops, and TV's but this is the last.

Great product

Very sharp, clear, and easy to install. Wish it had some form of built-in speakers or output device, but otherwise great.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Durable, Lightweight
Cons: no built-in speakers

Ergonomic disaster

The height of this monitor can not be adjusted at all. Of course, this may work fine for you depending on your height, the height of your chair and your desk, but for many, it won't. I would never sit in front of such a monitor for an extended period of time. Since I immediately returned the ones I received, I cannot say anything sensible about the performance of the monitor, as it is unusable to us due to the above issues. I am appalled that something like this can come out of the design process of a company like Samsung.
Pros: Inexpensive, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations, height not adjustable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Beautiful Monitor - Some advice

Currently using this monitor at 1920x1080 resolution with my laptop so I've yet to experience it at it's full potential but nonetheless, it is beautiful. Really sleek finish and the screen of course is large and vibrant.
Some advice, I am using this with my laptop through an HDMI connection and the monitor defaulted to 1600x800 resolution. I had to disable my laptop display before 1920x1080 was an option. AND another thing, if the screen shuts off due to timeout and I wake it back up it in 1600x800 resolution again and at this point I can see 1920x1080 as an option but when I try to select it windows says that it was unable to change the resolution on my display. The only way I found to put it back into 1920x1080 resolution is to turn back on both displays and then re-disable my laptop display. I hope that Samsung can fix this with a driver update.
Fyi, I'm using a Samsung 350V5C laptop with Windows 8.1
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: resolution problem

No sound. No 4K. And not covered by warranty.

monitor does not allow sound through hdmi, screen goes pixelated when trying to watch 4k (flashes from snow to green screen etc.). the online support/registration is a hassle to complete. but the very brief warranty period doesn't cover these issues anyway. the product description is also misleading- the monitor size is actually 24" not 28".
