5 more channels then before but only half have picture can’t get cw nbc cbs those are 12 miles from house an nbc 42.5 miles can’t put outside it against rules at town plaza

I purchased the Jolt preamplifier with the Clearstream Max V antenna. After gettng the antenna in the best position, the preamplifier didn't really make a lot of difference. It did bring in some additional channels but I was really looking for it to sharpen our VHF stations which were the hardest to reach. On the positive side, it is competively priced so it made it attractive to try.

I bought it to amplify some of the weaker stations in my area. I did a before and after channel scan and this amplify was worse than no amplifier! Several stations were lost. The technicians at AntennaDirect thought that since I also have some strong signals, perhaps the strong ones were amplified so as to overdrive the TV input circuitry. Perhaps it might work for only weak signal areas where there are no strong ones but not where there are a wide range of signal strengths.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
