Heats fast and accurate. Easy to install. Pulled out the dishwasher and installed the oven. added a shelf for it to sit on and installed a drawer under it to hold shelves

Love the side opening door. It makes it so much easier to get hot and heavy items out of the oven when I’m not too tall. You can put your hand on the oven glass door when the oven is on and you can barely feel the heat. The only thing I didn’t like was the clock light doesn’t stay lit when oven is off. It needs a constant backlight.

I installed this oven about a month ago and has performed well so far. Time will tell as to how it holds up long term. The side swing door is perfect. Looks great too.

Design improvements needed

I like the appearance of my new wall oven, but the setting icons are difficult to see; no backlighting. The door is hard to open and shut and even though when using the European Convection feature, the users manual says no preheating is necessary, I've found that my food is undercooked if I don't preheat 1st. As I use the oven more, for different types of cooking, I'm hoping for better results.

Your feedback regarding the difficulty of viewing the setting icons and the door being difficult to use is being sent to our Cooking Products Design team for review and possible future adjustment.
Regarding preheating, this may be necessary for some cooking functions and generally unnecessary for others, including convection broil and convection roast. It is possible this may vary depending on exactly what is being prepared. If preheating is necessary, the time it takes can be longer if you have a 208 volt connection rather than a 240 volt. Also, if you do need to use preheat to get the desired results for your food, there is a Fast/Quick Preheat option that can lessen the time needed for that process.

Automatically Shuts Off

My model is a 2018 HCW225LAES. I would give this 5 stars but the oven turns off with no timer set. I cannot deactivate the automatic shut off on this model.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We're sure this is beyond aggravating and we'd never want that for you. We'd first suggest disconnecting power to your unit for 2-3 minutes to reset the controls. If this doesn't help, we recommend scheduling service with a certified Haier Appliances technician that will be able to accurately diagnose and repair your appliance. temperature variance

I bought this 5 years ago. My first choice product was backordered indefinitely so this was my second choice. I've not been happy with it at all. I've had issues with a temperature variance. It started at 25 degrees hotter than set temperature about 3 years ago now it's up to 100 degrees hotter. I have a Thermpro thermometer. Support gave me 3 authorized repair companies but they have no feedback as to reliability. The manual says "see calibrate oven temperature", this is not in the manual anywhere nor on the website. Obviously this is one reason this product has been discontinued. I will never own a Haier product nor GE as they are owned by Haier now.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
