Dynamo but SS finish shows all!

The finish on this dishwasher is not great as it shows all fingerprints and smudges right away. The SS finish is coated so it scratches easily and is not repairable like other truly SS appliances. This tiny dishwasher is a dynamo in getting pots, pans, and dishes clean in a quiet way. It does not have a start/pause button which is something I wish it had. Also, controls are on the top so make sure it fits under countertop with room to spare.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi Califanna - Thank you for providing a review of your Haier dishwasher. Your feedback is extremely helpful and appreciated. This dishwasher offers a true stainless finish and is not coated. True stainless will show fingerprints and smudges particularly if your hands or fingers are damp or wet. True stainless finish products can be scratched and care must be taken not to do so. We are thrilled to hear the unit is doing a good job of cleaning your dishes.The cycle can be paused at any time by opening the door. The dishwasher will beep once every minute to remind you of the need to restart the cycle. The height of the dishwasher is adjustable from 32 1/2" - 34 5/8" to fit under a wide range of counter top heights. I hope this helps.

So far, so good

We've been using the dishwasher for a month and so far it's operating as expected. It is very quiet and cleans the dishes well. However, the two racks and components have a cheap plastic feel and are concerned of their longevity.

Two years in and, when working, does a good job. Keep getting 888 code and have turned in and off circuit braker several times without resolution. Think there are two buttons to push to reset but am not rainy finding that info anywhere. Also three beeps. Very frustrating as this was not cheap.

We recommend resetting the electronics by flipping the breaker off for at least 5 minutes. The 888 indicates either the controls are confused or that there isn't enough power getting to the unit. Small But Mighty

I didn't have much room in my kitchen, but I wanted a dishwasher. This one is perfect! Perfect size for two people. It's so quiet, I have to listen to make sure it's running. I would recommend this dishwasher to anyone with a small kitchen.

Won't fit standard sized plates!

We knew we were buying a compact dishwasher, but weren't expecting that it could not hold standard 10.5" dinner plates. Disappointed.

Hello- We appreciate your purchase and are sorry that your plates aren't fitting well inside your dishwasher. We will be happy to help! Larger platters aren't recommended but your average 10.5 inch dinner plate should fit fine.
Your model has an adjustable upper rack and can be raised to allow additional space for your plates. Please take a look at pages 8-9 and you can view how to adjust the upper rack and view how we recommend loading it.

Nice appearance but

The bottom grid has too many wide spaces to allow for different dishes. My bowls dip below the rack and they are average size bowls. Should be made like the grid spacing on top rack. I moved top rack up because my dinner plates would not fit on lower rack. Now top rack does go in far enough for door to close unless it is juggled and adjusted. Any possibility of a different bottom rack

There isn't another option for the lower rack for this model. However, we would like to let you know you can raise the top rack to allow room for your dinner plates.

I was astonished that a new model did not have a drying feature. Also the design of the racks is very puzzling as to how to place the things to be washed

This model does not have a heated dry cycle. Instead, it uses an energy-efficient Condensate Dry System. It's important to note that the use of a rinse agent ensures spot and film protection for dishes and assists the drying process.
The upper rack may be adjusted to accommodate larger items. Instructions on how to do so, along with some helpful loading tips, can be found on pages 8 and 9 of the owner's manual: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-55125-3.pdf.
