Good & Bad

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are a builder and remodeler that have used Electrolux for years. We love the look of the product and have had good luck with other Electrolux appliances. However, this is the second refrigerator we have bought of this specific model, this time for our own home, that has had issues with the freezer from the very first day. We can no longer endorse this product for ourselves or recommend it to our clients.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my 4th Electrolux Refrig. Luckily I had warranties on the other 3 ones because there was a problem with ice makers on all three other ones. I've got my figures crossed and added more time for this warranty!

Poor Quality Control

Owned this model’s predecessor for 7 years, good unit until it failed due to condensation leak rusting out the back of the unit behind the ice maker. New unit (EW23BC87SS) delivered less that one month ago. Not the quality of our previous unit. No soft-close “crisper” or “Perfect-temp” drawers and the issues that follow.
Two dents in freezer door. Missing flap cover for air freshener slot. Left door askew. Adjustments unsuccessful in correcting. Evaporator motor sounds like a failing transformer. Repair tech advised they all sound that way due to a lack of proper sound suppression materials. Water leak from a compression fitting, located at the back of the unit resulting in damaged wood floors (warped). Wall also soaked. Cause of leak determined and corrected by a repair technician. Draw your own conclusion on whether to purchase an Electrolux.

Please ensure the freezer door is closing fully, and that the freezer baskets are properly secured in the drawer slides (page 30-31 in your Owner’s Manual). If the basket is not resting on stabilizer bar retainer clips, the drawer will not close properly, thus causing temperature challenges. Please confirm the freezer is set at the recommended temperature of 0°F. On my 2nd replacement. Freezes food in fridge.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So, this is my 3rd refrigerator. They replaced the first two. All three freeze food in the fresh food section. Its crazy. Can set the temp into the 40's, and the food still freezes in certain sections, and temp is too high in others. This was an upgrade when I purchased my new home. Stay away from this fridge!

Horrible Experience

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has been a nightmare. Freezer door came dented. Took a month to replace. Now freezer not working correctly. Defrosted all my food. Having multiple repair people coming to diagnose problem. Should be sent a new refrigerator.

Horrible!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] They replaced this refrigerator for me once because the ice maker would not make more than one or two cups of ice a day, and delivered misshapen pieces at a snails pace. Well guess what? Fridge #2 does the same thing. Very angry that I paid this much money and my friends ice makers all run rings around this one.

Nothing but problems

This fridge came as part of the appliance package with my brand new house. What a mistake I made choosing this package. My fridge, range, dishwasher, and microwave have all required repair at least 2 times each. There continues to be reoccurring problems. With the fridge in particular the ice maker is worthless. The Ice maker routinely drips water into the cube tray, causing them to freeze into a block. Water also leaks below the tray, causing the tray to freeze in place. This also causes a problem when the ice maker attempts to dump ice. After 6 months, repair work was performed and the technician said the ice maker was installed incorrectly from the factory. Low and behold, they were out again to replace it at an exhorbant cost to me. Do yourself a favor and find another brand.
