Bosch dishwasher w built in water softener

Great dishwasher and super quiet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are truly enjoying this super dishwasher - All dishes come out clean, dry, and glasses are shiny. The built-in water softener leaves all dishes clean without spots. It is the quietest dishwasher we have ever used.

We do not like it.

It does clean well. It does look very nice.
We do Like the upper drawer for silverware.
We do not like how it loads, compared to our old kitchen aid, its difficult. The silverware tray is almost useless. The old DW had it on the front door and it was open. You could put silverware in and take the clean stuff out with no hastle.
The front door sits lower to the floor. You really need to bend over to get things out of the main drawer.
The soap tray is difficult to fill its a long way downfor a less flexible senior Citizen. The main drawr keeps falling off the tracks for my wife. She cant see the "Information Light" do to imited (MD) vision. Things on the floor dissapear to her.
Turning it on is a hastle. We have no children, and if we did, they would be trained NOT to open it. The 4 second rule is an absolute pain. You must turn it one and then push the start button, (half the time that does not work) and then close the door, QUICKLY. If you add a cup you need to start again. Several time I was sure I had thing s right only to find the "Information Light" blinking an hour later.
You really need a PhD to run it. (BTW I have one.)
Fruing pans do not fit well. We have some larger plates, Chargers. They do not fit. The glass tray out of the Microwave does not fit. Both fit in our old washer.
We purchased this because it was the only one in stock and our old washer had started leaking. After a month of using it, I cant reccomend it.

The only dishwasher with a softener

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] That thing is quiet! If not for the "little red light" I would not know it's running. Best part is how well it cleans. I waited a long time. Did LOTS of research and chose Bosch. So far am very happy with it. Easy to load and a loading schema that makes sense. The built in water softener is working great and uses very little salt. No spots on glasses or plates. No crud build up in the bottom either. My neice told me how happy she was with her's and now I am too! Thank you Bosch!

Best dishwasher ever!

So quiet, I have to look for the small red light cast onto the floor to indicate it's on. Generally use the Normal or Speed 60 (one hour) settings, both with excellent results. Filter in bottom is easy to remove and clean. Highly recommend.

Love my Bosch dishwasher
