Big Letdown

Panel was displaying error preventing functionality of the device immediately on delivery. Contacted Bosch and they sent repair tech. Tech reviewed problem and Bosch wanted to repair. We wanted dishwasher replaced since it was defective on delivery. In some cases 2 weeks has gone by for a response and we are still stuck with a non-functional dishwasher. Bad product and bad customer service.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very quiet, and it cleans really well!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an amazing dishwasher. It's really quiet and cleans the dishes really well. I have been through many dishwashers, mostly other brands and I have never been as pleased as I am with this one.

Quiet but stinky

We chose this unit because we wanted a high-quality product that was very quiet, and the Bosch was recommended by our salesperson. The unit is quiet, in fact we often struggle to tell if it is running or not. BUT, there is a nasty smell that develops between washes. I've since read online that many people seem to have this same issue with the new Bosch units. The unit is brand new, very clean and installed correctly. This has been an issue beginning after the first cycle and has persisted ever since. If Bosch can’t resolve this, we will have to replace it with something else because the stench is unbearable.

door tension failure

Wish I could give zero starts. The pins that hold the door cable guides have failed on both sides of the dishwasher. It appears from diagrams that this component will require the complete disassemble of the dishwasher to replace the base. The dishwasher has been in service only 10 months. This type of failure seems to be a engineering failure in choosing a material that is put under alot of stress from the door springs. The plastic base has not re-enforcement in this area and plastic cable guides seem to mechanicaly increase this stress to this pin that is molded in to the base. This design seems to make this model dishwasher a throw away model which is a sham for the amount of money that one pays for the brand name. Bosch historically meant a produce with excellant engineering and material science behind their product. With less than a year and catastrophic failure of a major underpinning of the dishwasher this does not seem to be the case any more

Very quiet dishwasher!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very impressed with this dishwasher! It is extremely quiet! I can hardly tell that it is running. Dishes come very clean and streak free. Once we got the cupboard door on it, it blended seamlessly with the rest of our cabinets. Looks fabulous! Note- You do need the wood door on it for it to stay open! Without the cabinet door installed, it will pop shut.

What Happened?

I had two bosch dishwashers in my kitchen for 17 years. One is still running. When one finally gave way, I purchased another Bosch without hesitation since I have been so happy with them. This one is so annoyingly different. I hate the touch buttons. Can't quite figure out the pressure to use. Too light and it doesn't register, too hard and it seems to stay stuck on the program. I am constantly doing resets. It's like it wants to make the decision of what wash cycle to run and doesn't want to change it unless reset. Twice the drain clog error code came up. Very little in there after I did troubleshooting and had to take the lower rack out and remove the drain plug, rinse and reinstall. The most annoying thing however is that everything is wet. Yes, I know to use a good rinse aid always, yes, I know to program it to be on the driest setting, yes, I know that it doesn't dry by a direct heating coil. Like I previously said, I have had two of them for 17 years and one is still running. I can run both together, and the old one finishes with very dry dishes, the new one needs everything to be wiped down a bit before putting them away. This seems to be a common problem and ironically I have one friend and two family members who recently bought new Boshch dishwashers and have the same complaint. There are complaints online about this problem too. What changed and why is Bosch now advertising their new model dishwasher with more advance drying? I wish I could buy the older model again. I just don't like this dishwasher at all. I also bought one for my vacation home and dislike it just as much. Same issues, poor drying, weird touch panel, finicky controls.

Many issues

We had many issue with the dishwasher. It's 3 years old abd everything has started to full apart. The door spring has broken and slams down if you don't hold it. The digital buttons stopped working and now the door won't close. I would expected much more from Bosch.

Unbelievably quiet!
