I have had this charger for 1+ years, mine is the older/initial version with Apple, USB and micro USB charging connectors. It continues to give good service.
I bought this charger on the recommendation of a co-worker and boy where they ever wrong. The charger simply keeps my S6 from dying AS LONG AS it remains plugged in. It does not recharge the phone. I've stopped carrying it except in my bookbag when I am bringing a lot of stuff to the office. Its big and bulky.
I bought mine ~2 years ago after a year of constantly using my 4S as an iPod and it's still going strong. The built in 30 pin charge cable died around a year after I bought it, but thanks to the USB port it's still doing it's job. I can abuse my phone all day and this unit keeps me powered, no matter how many podcasts I listen to.
I bought the myCharge-Peak6000 at an airport kiosk. Flights were cancelled due to a snow storm, and I didn't pack a charger (I didn't need one -- there's no place to "plug-in" on a whitewater river rafting camping trip). Stranded, my battery was toast, and I need a charge. I spent the extra cash for a fully charged device, and it was the best decision I ever made (except for marrying my husband). MyCharge has saved my bacon on a number of occasions -- I don't need to pack multiple charging plugs when I travel -- I just need one...you guessed it -- myCharge. My husband who is a pilot carries a spare in his flight bag; and I'm beginning to think I need to tell mCharge I want a commission on all the devices I have sold for them. Gold stars all the way around for this device!
This was the first mycharge I own. I loved it until it stopped working after 6 months of use. The cords attached stopped chatting my equipment. I did get a new charger from mycharge because I love the features the mycharge offers.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
