Worst Dishwasher ever

This dishwasher was already installed in the new home we purchased. It is the worst dishwasher I have ever used and I hate it. After six months of fighting with it, I'm finally giving up and buying a myself a new (different brand!# dishwasher. This GE dishwasher will go out on the curb for some poor unfortunate soul to deal with.
Neither the top or bottom rack is adjustable and none of the tines move. It can fit 16 place settings but that means you can stack 16 plates in it and that is about all. Who washes 16 place settings on a daily basis? Forget about tall glasses or wine glasses - the top rack can fit small juice glasses or mugs and that's all. I can't fit any pans, serving dishes, cookie sheets, sauce pans, or containers I use for leftovers.
This dishwasher has the most annoying beeping at the end of the cycle. Four long beeps with a minute of silence in between. The beeps cannot be shut off. Why is this feature on a dishwasher? Who in their right mind cares when a dishwasher completes? It's not like I'm going to jump up and empty it as soon as the cycle is finished. Seriously GE - get rid of this feature!!! Forget about starting the dishwasher right before you go to sleep - you'll be awakened by 5 minutes of beeping.
The rubber seal around the dishwasher #to prevent water from leaking out) is not seated properly. I cannot roll the top or bottom rack into the dishwasher without it catching on this rubber seal. I am constantly painstakingly putting this rubber seal back into position.
If I could have rated this dishwasher a minus 10, I would have. Since a "poor" rating was all I was allowed, that's what I selected. Save your money, do not buy this inadequate, poorly designed, and cheaply constructed dishwasher.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dishwasher is ok. It seems to get the dishes very clean with little or no spots. I don't like that the short wash doesn't have a dry cycle. The normal cycle is about 88 min long which seems like a lot of time to me. It also seems small and hard to load. I also don't like that you have to hit the on/off button when the cycle is over. Performance is great but functions not so much as to the length of cycle, on off switch, and dry cycle.

If I could send it back, I would. Right now I will give it to anyone who really needs a dish wash but can't afford it.
It is SO small. My wife and I have to make sure the dishwasher has been run before dinner. If we don't we can fit everything in. Even if it is empty we can not always fit all our dishes, glasses and small pots
I will say that it cleans very well. so I'll rate it one star imstead of zero stars.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works great, no spots, and I love the heat for drying! I love the stainless steel inside and out! Cons: leaves finger prints and water stains on the outside, but it is easy to clean.
