Had a hard time finding a dishwasher that fit opening correctly until this one. When cabinets were installed, unbeknownst us it put under any of the cabinets (the opening does not fit the standard size d/w by a 1/4"-1/2". GE compensates for this! Love it, cleans excellently and matches our other appliances perfectly!

Perfect fit

I researched dishwasher styles and brands to find one that would fit in with our existing appliances, and would also work within a shorter counter height requirement (32.5") so we would not have to remove a custom tile counter top to install. This worked out beautifully, and I've been pleased with the performance and just how quiet it is. Only disappointment is that stemmed wine glasses are too tall to fit in the top rack.

Doesn't dry dishes properly, and has strange smell

I bought this dishwasher two months ago, and have had service here twice, and have scheduled a third visit to replace the sump pump. From the day we purchased it, it has had a bad smell. We have used citric acid, and then vinegar, but the smell remains. Also, 24 hours after we have run the dishwasher, the dishes are still wet. My water temperature was checked and it is hot enough, so I don't know why we still have a drying problem. The positives about the unit are that it fits into a smaller opening, it is reasonably quiet and it is nice looking.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
