Really Cool but no GPS

I received a free sample of the Philips Health watch in exchange for writing a review. I immediately exchanged out the wrist band that the watch came with and used the small one. It was easy to do and I am glad they have 2 different options for sizing. The watch has a sleek design that looks better than wearing an ifit bracelet. To toggle between your settings for exercise, food, sleep and resting heart beat is very easy too. Just unlock with three taps on the outside rim and then pick which one you want to get a reading from. The watch charges very fast but it only lasts for 4 days. It is easy to enter your food intake for the day. It generalizes on the watch but I think that the calories estimated are pretty accurate. If you want more specific detail for food intake you can to it through the app.
I wish the watch had a GPS system. I am a runner so my route and distance are important to me. I also would like the watch to not make any vibrations at all during my sleeping time. For some reason it vibrated the first night and then I was up. I love doing hot yoga and I don`t think that the watch accurately calculated any calories or steps. I couldn`t manually go into the app to add any steps that I thought were missing so my chart looked really off my first few days of recording. I would recommend not touching anything once you have it set up. It will eventually flow over to the app but it might take a few hours. It is a very resourceful tool in your quest to be healthy. I liked it a lot but I think it really needs a GPS systems to stay competitive with other watches.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Attractive & Fun

We recently became empty-nesters and decided to focus more on our personal fitness, so I was excited to receive this watch for free to review. The Philips Health Watch works well for me because the key features are what’s important to me- steps, heart rate, calories expended and active minutes. It was easy to set up and sync with my phone. I am a medium build woman and the smaller band fits great and was super easy to put on.
It has an attractive watch face, unlike many other fitness watches/bands that I’ve seen. I have even received a few compliments on it. I have a different activity band that I have previously worn for steps, and I have found the Philips watch to be more accurate.

There is somewhat of a learning curve, especially with the app. I would recommend reading the instructions first; doing so will save you some time and frustration. I still have to do some experimenting with tracking my sleep and food.
It would have been helpful for Philips to have provide some tutorial videos on their site explain and the features and how best to use them to achieve your health and fitness goals.
I would recommend this watch; it’s an attractive, effective option for people who are focused on fitness.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great watch for someone who is tech-savvy

I received a free sample of this watch to review, and I must say, I probably would not purchase this watch. It has extensive instructions, which were very difficult for this 50-something year old to understand! Someone who is tech-savvy would probably love this watch! It is well made, very sturdy-like, but just too complicated for me. I charged the watch, and cannot seem to figure out how to use it!
