I received the Philips Bluetooth health watch for free in exchange for an honest review. The pairing between the ap and the phone was very easy but you must read the instructions. The watch has a lot of useful functions but I had a hard time figuring out how each of them worked. It comes with instructions but for me it would be useful to be able to have a visual tutorial on the website because the instructions are quite lengthy and for me it would be nice to actually see it in use. After using it for about a week I was able to catch on and found it was more useful. I`m still wondering is the sleep mod is accurate and there was one day that I think the steps walked were off. Overall, I have really enjoyed this watch but takes a little time to figure it out. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a health watch.

The Philips HeathWatch is a really useful product in my quest for better fitness and weight loss. It syncs with the app and keeps track of your heart rate, steps, calories burned, time spent either walking, running or bicycling, and it also has a stopwatch, a place to manually enter your meals, as well as your sleep. And on top of that, it is a very nice, modern and sporty watch as well!
The main aspect of the HeathWatch that I love is that when you sync it with your app (which it actually does automatically via bluetooth when you are in proximity of your phone), it gives you an overall health % for each day. When I find I haven't made 100%, I can see where I lacked (not enough steps for the day, too little sleep, heart rate stayed in resting range all day, etc). This is super-useful to me in that it reminds me to focus on not just one area of my fitness and health, but an overall healthy lifestyle.
There are just two things about the HealthWatch that I feel are lacking a bit. In the area of the watch where you enter your meals, I feel you should be able to enter the number of calories you consumed rather than "heavy lunch, medium lunch, light lunch", etc, because when you choose one of the options, it sets the calories for you, and I have as yet been unable to find a way to back out of it and change it if I am not happy with the number of calories it entered.
The other thing is that the watch itself is a bit heavy for me and I have to keep it snug to track my heart rate properly. I find that when I am doing strenuous activities, and my heart rate is getting up there, I don't want something too heavy around my wrist. Maybe that's just me, but what doesn't bother me when I'm going about normal activites seems like it weighs a ton when I'm exercising.
All things considered, I LOVE the watch! It has really given me a broader perspective of my fitness and helps me hone in on the areas that need the most attention. I also have the Philips Scale that syncs to the app also, which adds your weight and BMI to the app, which is very helpful!
I did receive this product for free in exchange for an honest review.
Pros: useful as a health tracking tool, nice modern design
Cons: a bit heavy, manual food entry is too basic

Decent health watch

I received a free Philips health watch to use in exchange for an honest review. It’s a fairly clean design and I like that it looks like a regular watch. I wore it almost 24 hours a day for 14 days, only removing it to charge, shower or otherwise avoid it getting too wet (ie. Washing dishes, bathing kids, etc.) After charging the first time, I ran the battery down completely to see how long it would last. It took about 5 days for the battery to die so I started charging it every 4 days. It comes with a USB charger and it charges in 60-90 minutes so you are not without your watch for long. It also comes with a 2nd smaller strap and I have a small wrist so I needed to change out the standard strap for the smaller strap. The strap was very easy to replace but I had to use the very first notch in order to get a snug fit on my wrist so the sensors were in constant contact with my skin. Because the straps have to stay tight, they were sometimes uncomfortable from too much rubbing against my skin, especially if my arm got wet or sweaty. Regarding the features, I have never used a health watch before, but there seems to be a lot there – it can track your heart rate, sleep hours, calorie/food intake, activity (walking, running and cycling), burned calories, steps taken and active minutes – and it vibrates when you’ve been sedentary too long and gently reminds you to get moving! It also has standard watch features such as an alarm, stopwatch and timer and a backlight so you can see the information in the dark. You can also set it for a digital or analog clock face. You can sync your health data with the Philips Healthsuite app on a mobile device to keep a history and track your fitness information and the app is fairly user friendly. Some of the features didn’t work that well for me though. I have to push a stroller when I go for walks, which the watch picks up as a cycling motion, so I don’t believe I get an accurate representation of the steps I’ve taken. Even after walking around a fairly large zoo for 6 hours, it said I only had 5,000 steps and 38 cycling minutes. I can do 5,000 steps on an average day without even trying, so I know that number is inaccurate. Also, the food intake feature on the watch is not that great. I do not count calories so I have no idea how many calories are in the foods I eat. If you don’t know exact calories, the only option to enter food is by selecting Small, Medium or Large for each meal category (ie. Small Breakfast, Medium Lunch, etc.), and then it adds a standard number that someone came up with. I know you can look up specific foods in the app, but in the watch, it’s not that useful. Overall though, having this health watch did encourage me to be more active, not only so I could test it, but also because it became a personal challenge to see if I could increase my activity level numbers. I wouldn’t wear this watch as my regular watch, because I don’t like having to wear my watch that tight, but I plan to wear it when I exercise. I don’t have other health watches to compare it to, but I can see this watch, in conjunction with the app, being useful for someone who needs to monitor their activity level or has specific fitness goals.

I didn`t like this watch much. I had to keep syncing it over and over again  to my phone.  The screen didn't make it easy to choose options. It had no email or calls either but I believe it wasn't created for that. I don`t have much to say about the watch because I couldn`t get it to work that well. On the days it did work it was awesome. Great motivator to keep healthy and lose weight. It did keep reminding me to move around if I sat for too long. The app that it came with was nice because it monitors your habits. This could have been done much better. I give this 3 stars hopefully they will work on this and come out with a better version soon.

Some great features

I received this watch free to review it and have very mixed reviews. There are some features that I really like and others that I don`t. This is my first watch that tracks steps, bp, etc. that I have used so I have nothing to compare it to. I liked that I could keep track of my steps, activity and heart rate. When I received it I was very excited about the sleep tracking feature and was very interested in seeing what my sleep patterns looked like. Well, I was very disappointed because this feature doesn`t work. I called Phillips and was told that due to a software update that the feature wasn`t working and it still doesn`t work. I usually wear my watch very loose but this one you have to make sure it is firm against your skin. This took getting used to. The band is a bit wide for my taste and tends to feel like it sticks to my wrist. It was relatively easy to set up the watch, install the app and sync to my phone. Though, as you continue to use the watch and sync to your app, the sync process takes forever...too long in my opinion. The battery life is great and I only have to charge it once every 5-6 days. If I was in the market for one, I don`t think that I would choose this one.
Pros: great battery life
Cons: sleep tracking function not working, band is too wide, takes too long to sync with phone app

I received the Phillips watch as a free sample so that I could try it and give an honest review. I was blown away by how easy it was to use. Before I knew it I looked down and I already registered 4500 steps. The watch was much more than a pedometer and a watch. It also tracked all of my information through Bluetooth to an easy to download health app created by Phillips. The watch kept track of my heart rate, resting rate, calories burned, active minutes engaged in an activity, details regarding sleep and calories burned. The added wrist strap was a very nice surprise. The watch, which was banged around quite a bit, was extremely durable and had an easy to see display. The Bluetooth feature continues to keep track of all of my activities and non-activities. This watch is helping me manage my health in a much more proactive way!
Pros: bluetooth, easy to set up, monitors all of your heath date, stores your health data
Cons: none

Great tool to monitor your health

After receiving the Philips HeathWatch product free in exchange for a review. I read the instructions on its use as I have not been a fitbit or healthwatch user prior to testing this sample. I really find this to be a useful tool in my quest for better fitness and weight loss. The fact that it syncs with the Philips health app and keeps track of your steps, heart rate, calories burned, and activity. I have started using it to enter my meals, which is very helpful in keeping a watchful eye on my diet.
One of the features i liked a lot is it gives you an overall health % for each day and information where you are falling short in areas if you didn’t achieve 100% on any given day. Again a very helpful tool to stay on task with a healthier lifestyle.
The battery seems to stay charged for a longer period of time than other brands and the fact that it shows you when the battery is getting low so you can recharge with the nifty recharge cradle. I also like the look of the watch and the fact that it is fairly easy to use.

I received a free sample of this Philips Health watch. I like the smooth, round design.
I like the way it reminds me to get up and move when I have been sitting too long by vibrating and displaying a message. It helps with my eating habits by keeping track of my daily caloric intake. It monitors my heart rate which is important especially for my annual wellness check ups. The ability for this watch to be able to sync to the Philips HealthSuite Health app makes it easy to keep track of the total calories burned, the calorie intake, and the active calories. Great product for a person who wants to monitor their overall health.
Pros: comfortable adjustable for everyonesleek looking
Cons: none
