I received the Phillips watch as a free trail. After a couple of days of getting used to wearing a watch again and how the watch functions, I really like it. I am more aware of my exercise habits and I like the fact it connects to my Phillips scale too.So far so good I would would recommend buying it.

Not ideal for my uses

I was so excited to receive a free health watch in exchange reviewing the item. I was unfortunately disappointed with the product. I am not sure if my expectations were too high, whether I expected something that Philips is not trying to create but this watch was not as good as I expected. I like the look of the watch, and some ease of use of the Philips application is helpful to keep all the health information in one spot. However, if looking for a watch that is an accurate pedometer or able to measure your activity correctly this is not the watch for you. This watch does not go into active mode until you are active for approximately 9 minutes and does not count those minutes as active time. In addition, it does not have a GPS device so it can't map a run or anything similar. The battery is however long lasting and perhaps if looking for the watch to only measure your pulse and sleep maybe it is the watch for you. I think by adding a few more options to this watch Philips would attract many more customers.

Great and sturdy fitness watch

I received a free watch to sample and I have to say that I really do LOVE it. I am not a regular watch wearer lately, so it took some getting used to just having a watch on my wrist - BUT I love having it there! The watch is a lovely size for me (I have small wrists but it looks sharp on me I think) and the face is easy to read the time. Once I figured out how the watch works, it was very user friendly. One tip - the touch part is on the OUTSIDE of the watch, not the watch face itself.
My favorite parts of the watch were the stopwatch, heart rate monitor and step counter. I really enjoyed knowing what my HR was while running or exercising in my barre class, and it calculates your average resting HR after you wear it a few days. It also tracks your sleep, which is very interesting. The parts I didn't use much were the calorie counter - Seemed hard to enter on such a small screen and hard to customize for the things I eat.
Overall, this is a wonderful and sturdy fitness watch. I can heartily recommend it for those looking to track steps, sleep, HR and general activity. It does not measure milage for running.
Pros: easy to use and sturdy long battery life
Cons: doesn't track distance run

basic health tracking watch

I received this product for free in exchange for an honest review after using for several days to form a thorough opnion.
pros: -- the screen has great visibility no matter what time of day. Easy to see in sunlight and, with the backlight, in the evening. --great unisex style - not too bulky yet not to thin --the multiple health tracking options are nice for someone on a motivated plan to better their health. It keeps track of steps, heart rate, calories burned and has the capability to do so while you sleep. I have recently taken up walking and jogging again and this is a nice accessory to have to not only keep me motivated during my runs but throughout the day. It seemed to keep very accurate counts of my steps and before long I had taken 4700 steps without realizing it! Talk about motivation! --The app is great and easy to use with the watch. Not only does it track my physical goals, that I in put, but it allows me to track the food I eat and calories. The app is very easy to follow and is a nice companion piece to the watch. --I also like the fact that it helps me keep track of my heart rate so I can keep it at a high enough level to see results.
cons: --although it is sleek and unisex, which is nice, I would prefer a more sleek, fun and vibrant watch. Maybe options with print or multi-colors. --it would also be nice if, like competitors, it could sync with your phone which it does not. This watch, while nice for fitness tracking, is more basic in its features compared to its major competitor. --it is also not waterproof which is disappointing
I would recommend this to a friend!

Nice features

I am a fit bit user, but I have just tried the Philips Health watch free sample to review, and I am impressed. Ok, it is a bit heavier than a fit bit, but if you like getting the read outs on your device, rather than going to your phone to check this is a winner.
It has a fast read feature as well as a menu of items. On the fast swipe you can see your bpm, active calories burned, all calories burned, your steps and your active minutes. You can set your watch to be analog or digital faced. The menu items include general settings, clock features (alarm and stop) activity (walk, cycle, run) calories (this is very general so I do not use), sleep, and heart readings.
Syncing to the Philips Health app is easy and free. Through it you can set activity and step goals.
One feature I particulary like is the the vibration when you hit your goals, and one that lets you know it is time to get up and move. The watch has a lock feature that is easy to use, and a touch ring on the outer surface that lets you swipe or touch to change features.
The watch is suppose to know when you are sleeping, but you can manually tap the icon before sleep and again upon waking to be more accurate and activate additional readings. This worked better for me.
The watch is suppose to also know the difference between types of exercise or levels of exercise depending on your heart rate, but I have not given that part enough use to give a good review yet.
Be patient when charging for the first time after 2 hours of waiting I went to bed, it was fully charged in morning. However, it only takes about an hour to charge after that.
I have not used a Health watch but for a fitness band user I appreciate the additional features this provides
Pros: fast swipe features, menu for additonal information
Cons: heavy, long time to first charge, four day charge

I received this Philips health watch in return for my honest review. The watch does serve its function in many ways. It is sturdy easy to read and even has an auto back light for dark areas. The battery lasts at least 4 days which is sufficent enough. Easy to charge and water resistent. It is very accurate and auto recognizes walk/run/bike. One negative is the strap makes my arm sweat, wish it was cloth. But overall very sturdy nice design and it works well if one downloads the Philip Healthsuite app.

Nice watch for the health conscious person!

was provided the Philips Health Watch and asked to provide a review. I used the Philips health Watch for approximately 10 days before writing this review. The watch came with easy to follow directions to help prepare for use. The watch charged very quickly after being plugged in and was ready for use. The appearance of the watch is very sleek and not oversize or clunky, like some I have seen. It looks and feels like a normal watch. I have a small wrist and did not feel it looked overwhelming, like other watches I have. I like the option of having the analog clock face or the digital clock face. I chose the digital clock face, but feel that both were easy to read. This watch helps to analyze your daily activities. I like that it keeps track of your steps and heart beats per minute (HBM). It also helps to track your sleep, however I could only figure out how to set this manually. It also has an option to help track your food intake, though I did not feel this was necessary and did not feel it was worth the time to do that. I do think it was be very helpful for those who regularly track their nutritional intake or want to be more health conscious. I have a similar watch from a different brand. I really liked the HBM information as my other watch does not have this feature. I also appreciate that this watch doesn't alarm/vibrate constantly like my other watch. I found the screen lock function annoying and had some difficulty getting used to how to unlock it. Once I got the hang of it I was able to do this. At times, I had difficulty using the touch screen to navigate through the functions of the watch. To see the analysis of my daily stats, I also elected to download the Philips HealthSuite health app. "Pairing" the watch with the app on my phone was very easy and the info was transmitted automatically when my phone was in range and the bluetooth was on. It took no more than 20 seconds to update on the app. The app also provides a "help" field to asset in figuring out all of the feature of the watch. With consideration of all the features/functions, I think that this watch is within normal price range for the quality it provides. I feel that this watch would be a great fit for someone who is very health conscious and is an avid walker. As a runner, I missed the GPS functionality that my other watch had in calculating the distance and pace. In addition, I noticed that Philips has developed many products that can compliment each other and provide for very thorough info for someone who is very health conscious or trying to improve their health.
Pros: nice appearance, heart rate monitor, great way to monitor your daily activity/steps, lightweight - nice size
Cons: no gps, had to manually turn on and off sleep mode, difficulty with touch screen at times

I received a free sample and was quite impressed with the technology and sophistication of this item. This item took a long time to adapt to. Not sure if I like the watch. I like the hi-technology but this item was difficult to incorporate with the other items by Bluetooth.
