Will make it work but very disappointed with locking lid

Owned for 3 weeks now. Works fine for light and medium weight loads but not for heavy loads such as king size sheets or heavy towels. If the load gets unbalanced the Washer pause button allows user to stop the machine and re balance but then start the whole wash cycle over.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Happy we bought this new washer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am happy now with this washer as it was so different from my old one! My old one was a whirlpool washer with the old style agitator. The lid dId not lock and it was so easy to use except it did not spin out as well as the new one nor did it use less water like the new one! I am learning how to adjust to this new washer.

Great features

I have been a Maytag customer since 1992. We just bought our new washer and dryer. We bought an electric dryer this time after 23 years with a gas dryer. 6 months later we bought the washer to match even the old washer was still going strong. They work just as good as the old set although there was a learning curve on the washer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love the machine!

We purchased this washer after our older model Maytag died, it had served us well. I made sure everyone read the owners manual on proper use of new washer in my home. I must say we are all very pleased with the job this washer does. My adult daughter brings her laundry here to wash her apartment building has no washer, and she has mentioned on many occasions how much she likes the good job it does. I would recommend this washer to everyone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have only had this machine for a month and there are just 2 of us in the household. I was not happy with the lid lock feature and the fact that I could not choose the water level, but, as I use the machine, I am pleased with the results. I have not washed a large or bulky load yet, so I hope that my happiness with the machine stays! My daughter has a large capacity front loader Maytag machine similar to this one and has used it for several years for her large family with good results. I hope that my results are as satisfactory.

fabulous new Washing Machine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My prior washing machine conked out on me and I needed a new one ASAP. I just love this new machine, not only because it looks great next to my dryer (which didn't need to be replaced) but also because: (1) the price was great; (2) it had just enough features for me; and (3) the features that it does have are perfectly explained inside the front lid, so that I can be reminded which settings are best if I am doing small bathroom rugs or extra dirty rags and towels. I particularly like the extra rinse feature. All in all, my clothes haven't looked this clean in years.
