Poor quality washing

We have on this washer for a year and a half. Since day one, all of our dark clothes come out with white lint or powder on them. We thought it was from powder detergent, but this happens even if we use blue liquid detergent. Sometimes parts of my clothes look like they never got wet. Since the lid locks on the washer, there is no way to tell just how much water filled in the tub. This was a very poor purchase for us and I’m surprised as our last Maytag washer (a Neptune) did wonderfully and lasted over 15 years.

Horrible

I hate this thing. It won't clean clothes. It leaves the clothes dirtier than when they went in. They get covered in white spots and wrinkles. I wish I would have gotten a front load washer as I would love to just one day pull clean clothes of a washer that took a 1:30 mins to "clean" them. Even on 1 sheet this washer can't even get the top of it under water. I've taken out shirts, socks, ect that weren't even wet and this washer actually leaves clothes wetter than my old washer. I hate this machine and how much money I wasted on it. If only I could trade this sad excuse for a washer for a front loader.

WORST PURCHASE EVER

This washer is absolutely AWFUL--- when washing darks it leaves mark on the fabric. I tried to wash it a second time and the marks were even worse. I feel like my clothes are being ruined because of this washer. DO NOT BUY. The photo below is of my shirt after the SECOND WASH. THIS WASHER IS HORRIBLE!!!!

I would give this 0 stars if that were an option. This washer was delivered on 12/2 (about 2 weeks ago). Washer leaves white residue on dark colored clothes (see pictures). I am using 1 tablespoon of Tide detergent and warm/hot water. i have cleaned the washer with Affresh and bleach without resolution. Numerous calls to the retailer and maytag have been very frustrating as no one will help resolve this issue. 2nd service appointment is scheduled for 12/27. What a nightmare. Read other similar reviews on retailer's website. I wish i had before I purchased.

I don't like this machine

I replaced my old broken Maytag which was 10 years old with this one. I wanted to stick with Maytag because it is made in the USA. I love that the washer basket is huge. The problem is that even though I followed instructions including the trouble shooting, my items do not come clean. Anything that is of a darker color has lint or detergent residue all over it even though I don't over fill the cup. I even use the extra rinse and it does not help. I wish I could return it. I had such high hopes for it but now I hate it. I have had it for 2 months now and am so disappointed.

Horrible white blotches

I have the exact same problem Ruined My Clothes has had with this machine. Maytags response is unacceptable. They state the load should be re-rinsed and tub be wiped down after a load of cotton clothing is washed, otherwise the lint from that cotton load stays stuck on other clothes. These stains are white blotchy residue that makes dark clothing look dirtier than before washing. Personally, I've re-re-re-washed, cleaned the machine, minimize my load, and minimized the HE detergent. It's a horrible machine! I was too deceived by the "awesome" reviews. I almost want to believe those customers must have been washing by hand. I feel stuck!

Many features but only washes small loads

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this machine only a couple of weeks ago. I've tried very small-to-large loads. The machine fails to start with medium-to-large loads. I tried a medium load today (specifically ~ 10 clothing pieces, one towel, and two king sheets). Again - the machine failed to start. I removed one sheet - same issue. I removed both sheets, and voila - it started! We've had a service man come out who confirmed "the issue is the load size". We are in the middle of a draught - which is one of the reasons I chose this model (i.e., to take advantage of the extra capacity) How do I enable the "extra capacity" function?

Nice big tub!

After having a Maytag front loader for 10 years, I decided to buy this top loader. I love the nice big stainless tub.I like all the features it offers. p.s I hope I win the matching dryer !!
