So far it's a great case I love the fact you can still use the fingerprint unlock so many cases on the market don't allow this option! My only negative feedback is it isn't waterproof hopefully they will have this option for the pixel soon!
I bought this for my phone first day out of the box.. first thing I noticed was the screen protector wasn't tight against the screen, so you need to press extra hard to type and scroll - that's probably the most annoying aspect of the case. Also I noticed scratches on the back of the phone, on the bottom left and right of the glass piece under the camera... Don't know how my phone got scratched inside the case, very annoying. But other than that, typical OtterBox issues are persistent.. dust getting under the screen and the rubber on the charging port does not feel durable, and will most likely will get ragged out. I need to clean the dust under the screen protector 2 times a week.
TL:DR
Lowest quality OB case yet, scatched back of my phone while in the case, screen protector does not correctly fit, poor design. Can't wait for LifeProof to release one

I've had an Otterbox case on all of my devices. This one still has the same problem with the port covers - I can tell that they will eventually wear down and fail at the cheap rubber hinges. They also press hard on the power and headphone cables that are plugged in which will cause those connectors to be damaged over time. Disappointing for such an expensive case. Shipping also took well over a week, which was frustrating.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hi Michael,
Thanks for being a fan of our products over the years! We are sorry that the silicone port covers on the Defender case are not filling you with confidence. They really should not have any adverse effects on cables that you plug into the phone. If they happen to wear over time please let us know so that we can get a warranty replacement arranged. Our friendly Otters can be reached at 1-855-688-7269 and they are happy to help!
This is my second purchase buying an Otterbox and I am never disopointed. Never has a case offered so much protection and without sacrificing hand-held comfort. The cases are never clunky and ungainly once applied to your phone. A bit tricky to put on for the first time but once its one, its on! Would not trust any other brand.
Purchased this case for my new Google Pixel and it fits perfectly. Unfortunately, mine came with a noticeable mar on the clear screen cover side of my case. I called the Otterbox company regarding the issue and the staff was super helpful as well as nice regarding handling the issue. They sent me an entire new Otterbox to replace my first order! The do not kid around in regards to their customer service or their warranty! Seldom will you find a company stand so behind their products. For this reason alone I strongly recommend them.
I do wish that they would make more color case choices for the Pixel but that may be something that we see in time. If you are on the market for a cellphone case and you are serious about protecting your investment, then get an Otterbox. Nothing else will do.
I love Otterbox cases and I'm thrilled that they finally made them for Google phones! Here are the traits I love about these cases: - The rubber exterior prevents slips and protects against shocks if drops do happen - The built-in screen protector does not require awkward installation to avoid bubbling - The rugged 2-layer design of the case has kept every phone I used Otterbox on in nearly new condition despite any drops (sometimes just to demonstrate how great the case was)
Great, rugged materials will protect your phone from drops and more. This case is not as bulky as previous OtterBox Defender products while still providing solid protection. I have owned the "rugged" Spigen case, the youmaker case, and the Google cases for the Pixel and all of those do not offer the level of protection and ease of mind this OtterBox case affords you.
Seems like the ultimate protection for my phone - indestructible. Only drawback is the flap covering the charging port which needs to be opened to plug phone in and closed again to fit in holster.
The Defender doesn't impede upon the performance of the Google Pixel in any way. Buttons still feel clicky, fingerprint reader works fine, camera is still as clear and amazing as ever. I have no issues with the case whatsoever.
In fact, given the state of the screen protector market for the Google Pixel, with the 2.5D screen making it so no one's providing adequate screen coverage, the built-in screen protector is a blessing (for once) as the Otterbox's design is fit perfectly and has minimal space for dust to get in.
I'm happy with the purchase, and it provides an excellent sense of safety, making me confident to leave it on a bike mount or a strap holster.
