Burner Issues

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had an Amana previously for over 20 years without one problem. So I thought that purchasing a new Amana was a no-brainer. I was wrong!
The instruction book states that it may take up to 4 seconds for the burners to light. That is a long time to smell gas. I have to say that the plumbing on this stove is above standards.
The igniters are working, they just seems to be too low to ignite the gas quickly. Its just not
one burner, its all of them. In my opinion, its a poor design. The previous stove ignited the gas in under 1.5 seconds. Since I installed the new stove, I read the instruction book first, and was surprised at the 4 second time period. So I timed all four burners on my old stove before I removed it.

Great look and easy to use!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my gas range 2 months ago and 30 days in, I had a problem with the oven preheating and not warming up to proper temp. I contacted Amana, I was worried about living over 85mi from town that they wouldn't have a service tech available very soon, but I received a call by the 2nd day for scheduling. Tech brought all necessary parts and was able to make repairs. I couldn't of been happier with the Amana customer service! Oven is working great, I love all the features and cleans good.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Has all the features I need. Had a5 burner couldn't use middle burner with other pots on the stove. 4 burner perfect. Like the preset oven temps, less buttons to push. Oven heats up pretty fast. Had a steam clean oven and it never cleaned so I am happy with this self cleaning feature. Haven't used yet so can't comment on that feature. Burners work well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was happy to find a white gas range with the smaller grates. I'm a senior lady and those full coverage grates are too much for me to handle. Also love the broiler in the oven. that's VERY important to me. Like that the oven light comes on automatically when the door is opened. Wish it had a light fixture on the instrument panel like all of my other stoves. Kinda wonder why the oven pops so much when in use. Never had that with all my other gas stoves. All in all, I would highly recommend. Great stove and I got it at a great price. Also...it came with the conversion kit to LP. Happy, Happy, Happy!!
