Just what I wanted

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I HATED the range than came with my apartment and with the owner's permission and knowing I don't plan to move, I bought this and ditched his builder's grade one. First time I've ever had a smooth top so learning how to clean it and what to clean it with has been a learning curve, but I can still use my cast iron skillet on it. Like the oven feature that lets me know when the oven is at the correct temp too. Haven't had to clean that yet because it's only been a month and I haven't cooked anything in there that spilled or splattered. Very pleased with my purchase.

Basic Stove

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First time I've bought an Amana appliance and have been very satisfied with it, I'm old school and did not want one with so many buttons I would have had to read a book in order to operate it. I'm retired so I don't need a stove that cooks quickly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my stove in Dec. My only thought is it being a black top every thing, shows up on it. I seem to be cleaning it up all the time. It isn't hard to clean and anything works.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a moderately priced unit, made in the USA, that had a self cleaning feature which is why I selected it. I wanted the ceramic top as it is easier to clean. I would like a large burner on the right side in the front. That's my only criticism of the stove.
The oven heats well and I wish the oven would make a noise when the pre heat feature finishes. I have to keep checking it to see if it is heated to the desired temperature. The drawer below slides well and holds quite a bit in our small kitchen. There seems to be a high pitched, squeaking noise that the oven makes when in use. It almost sounds like a cat noise. That's a bit annoying but besides that, the unit is great.
