Very pleased with this blender! I had gone through two cheap blenders that just could not handle even making a smoothie properly. Easy to clean which makes me actually want to use it. I was skeptical about it being able to make a soup from raw veggies but it really did work!
Pros: Speed of Service, Durability, Easy to use, Versatility
I am so happy I bought this product. Since buying the Vitamix A2300 my lifestyle has completely change. I have more fruits and vegetables in my diet, and I feel more energized and focused throughout the day.
Pros: Texture Quality, Durability, Easy to use, Versatility, Recipe Enhancement, Product features, Power
I love my vitamix so much and tell everyone about it. I cannot believe all the the features and the quality of things it makes. I have made nut butters, sauces, smoothies, margaritas and soup already and cannot wait to try more recipes! It is a definite must have in the kitchen!

Because of the price point, I contemplated purchasing this for well over a year. When you spend this much money, you need it to do what it says it does. After a few months of use, I can report...SO WORTH IT! The smoothness and effortless consistency of my smoothies, is wonderful. Cleans very easily, just a drop of soap and a quick whirl. One complaint is the blender cups, not easy at all. Even the instructions are not clear on just how to make them work. Those need to be upgraded to colored arrows or something. After a week of not knowing how to get them to work, found a YouTube video with the perfect angle to show where those darn arrows were. So now that that’s figured out; I love my v2300! That was the only reason I couldn’t give it 5 stars. Gina
TLDR: Motor and carafe are great and feel solidly built. Does what a Vitamix does best: Smooth blends. Drive socket on motor base appears to not be all metal, questionable long term durability.
Overall, this is a great blender and in my honest opinion the best bang for buck for any of Vitamix blenders. It's my first high end blender and I'm thrilled to be able to make it a daily used appliance. First the good: No frills, powerful blending power and easy to navigate controls. I spent the better part of a month just figuring out which blender (Smart vs. Classic) would best fit my needs. The blending programs sound great but you still need to stand by it to tamp food into the blade so no sense spending the extra money for a program if you're already having to interact with the blender. Fairly loud but it's a blender so temper your expectations. Pro tip: put the blender on top of a Dish drying pad to dampen the noise. Air Intake on the blender is in the back and discharges to the sides. Blends stuff just like the demos as long as you follow the recipes and keep to the proper ratios of liquids and solids. The switches and dial feel solid and should last a long time. My only gripe is that the switches require a half sec hold to start the machine rather than a quick flip but thats being picky.
Now for some concerns: the blending jar sits nicely on top however does feel somewhat easy to tilt off the base. As a rule of thumb I never leave the blender unattended for the off chance it jerks while blending something hard like ice or frozen fruit and can tip off the base. The jar has decent weight where the blade is and shouldn't be a concern but better safe than sorry. Second, the drive socket they used appears to only have metal at the top of the socket. I'm disappointed because I would expect that with all the other upgrades in the Ascent line that they would at least use an all metal drive socket to ensure its longevity. I would expect that this would be the first piece to fail considering how solid the rest of the machine is. Drive splines on the jar are made of all metal and shouldn't be an issue. Considering the long warranty for the Ascent line, it helped alleviate my concerns for the plastic socket.
Such a simple piece could require me to send the whole blender back to get repaired. Not sure if the higher end models have an all metal drive socket but that would be disappointing to not include it on this model. Time will tell how it holds up to daily abuse as I use this blender AT LEAST twice a day. In the end, I'm happy with the blender but the plastic drive socket still strikes me as a place where they shouldn't have cheaped out but did anyway.

My Vitamix is now an essential item in my kitchen. I had to figure out how to start on low and ramp up fast to high. I can make soup, but butters, smoothies, nut milks, and many other things
