I have owed a Vitamix 5300 for several years and a 5200 early 2000's didn't use it as much as I hoped for then. Switched to a Blendtec, which I realized that was a huge mistake and wasted my money. So I went back to a Vitamix when i bought the 5300. The Vitamix brand is an excellent product and works very well with multiple functions. 6 I wanted a food processor for christmas this year, but realized my 5300 was not compatible with the Vitamix food processor. So I upgraded to the A2300. I passed my 5300 to my son. Yeah its a low model compared to all the bells and whistles the A3500 has. However, i am old school. I love the easy dial and off/on, pulse usage. I didn't have all that with my 5300 so it saved me money by purchasing the A2300, which has the same HP as the A3500. My machine is no louder than it was with the 5300 even though I heard the A3500 is much quieter. It's worth the money to have a blender that can do many things. I make my own nut milks, butters, sauces, soups, dressings and batters in my Vitamix with the simple easy dial speed. I can even make whole juices in it. I have a juicer, i love my juicer but hate the clean up. When i am in a hurry I can through all my ingredients in the blender for a whole foods juice with loaded vitamins and minerals along with the fiber. Juices miss the fiber and load you up with the nutrients if you consume it right after juicing.

I've had this blender for around a month and I love it! it is powerful and easy to use. I like that you have the option to use the app so no need for presets! I am loving my new small appliance!
