Silk Pulled- Wheel Split

As a road warrior that carries suits for meetings around the world I remember the Samsonite commercials with Gorillas beating the cases. Well those days are gone. I purchased this bag because of its size and the Samsonite name. The first time I used it the faux leather on the top handle covering the attachment points pulled loose and metal is exposed. It did not impact the operation so I kept going. The next time I zipped it shut the satin liner inside started to pull at the seam when I started to zip it. Yet still I kept going. The zippers failed on the handle cover and the front pockets failed so I was able to get them shut and have left them that way but no luck on ever using those pockets. I kept going. Finally on this last trip the right wheel split directly down the center of the wheel. It was almost like the rubber coating became two wheels and now is spinning on its hub. I tried to find out where to get it repaired as again I placed value on the Samsonite brand and there are no repair centers within 100 miles plus of my address nor is there a store to return it. I tried asking the local retailer and they were totally lost even after providing a copy of the Samsonite instructions from the web. So now I have a bag that is I admit regularly used but in my opinion started coming apart literally at the seams a year ago and continued downhill from there. For the price paid I expected this to be a life long bag. Shame on me for remembering a Brand that doesn't stand for what it used to be.

I had an aspire. i Like the size but it did not last but 3 years. Seams came apart and the zippers tore on malfunctioned. I only bought another one because I was hoping it would be better quality but it seems to be of lesser quality but the same size and compartments. Close to retiring I expect this on will make it a year or 2.

Comes apart with heavy travel

Great bag - if only it was durable. Fell apart at the seams, and the handle fell through within 1 year. Not good for frequent travellers.

Zipper separating from bag as thread seems have be worn out or cut by the zipper itself. Stitched too close to the teeth of the zipper.
