Solid Luggage

Great features, but gets scratched like crazy

We bought this luggage during our trip in Las Vegas. Overall, the quality is great and it has many cool features for a traveler. However, one unexpected drawback is that the outside gets scratched extremely easily. We bought the purple one and had one flight where we checked it. After a single use, the luggage seems like we have used it for 10 years. It is full of scratches with minimal use. We love Samsonite, however, we believe that more care should be given on details like that.

Misleading and Confusing Dimensions in the Specs

I was looking to buy a suitcase as a checked bag. I ended up buying the Freeform Medium Spinner because the specs say the overall (external) dimensions are 27.9in H x 19.6in L x 13.4in W. I thought it should be the size of a large checked bag.
After I got it, the tag says it's a 24" Spinner with size 24in H x 18in L x 11.5in W. It's actually closer to the size of a carry-on. What exactly are external dimensions and internal dimensions in Samsonite's product specs? Normally people would think airlines' limit on size is about external dimensions. Your specs on dimensions are very misleading and confusing.
For flights in the US, Freeform Medium Spinner is too big for a carry-on and too small for a checked bag. Now I'm stuck with this awkward-sized bag 2 days before departure. For those who want to buy Freeform Medium Spinner, avoid buying it. Either buy the large one or the carry-on one.

Great luggage

I bought this set a few months ago for my daughters HS graduation. She traveled to Europe and this set was put through the ringer. On and off the plane, on and off several buses as they traveled from Spain to France, to Italy. Stayed in several hotels. Came home looking new still.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Quality & Durability Questionable!!!

I received the Freeform Carry-On Spinner as a birthday gift. When I opened the box I was elated because of the brand Samsonite one of the most well-known travel brands in the world! My thoughts were: it is a quality product and will be durable. Plus, I loved the color, the style, and the ease of motion. However, I was extremely wrong. I recently had an opportunity to use my brand new suitcase for the first time on a trip to Puerto Rico. To my dismay and utter dissatisfaction my brand new suitcase now looks like it has been through the wringer. It looks dirty, used, and abused after one single use. I can only imaged how it will look after a few more uses while vacationing. Honestly, I am a little embarrassed to travel with it now. I do not recommend for anyone to purchase this suitcase due to low quality and durability. I recommend for individuals looking to purchase new luggage to look into other luggage companies for more durable and quality luggage!!! The proof is in the photos below.

Unsatisfied with Quality- damaged on First Use

Very unsatisfied on this purchase. On the First use the TSA lock hook broke.
We have previously retired our old Samsonite and purchased three of the Freeform design. One broke on us on the first use. Our previous Samsonite lasted 10 years with just normal scruffs all around which is normal but never had issues on the zipper lock. Perhaps it’s how the lock hook is designed on the TSA lock.
Not very happy about this considering it’s only the first use!
