Positive: works for 6+ years. Neg: D-port dead.

I bought this screen 6 years ago and have used it daily since then. I've only used HDMI until very recently because my gpu didn't have a DP, but when upgrading I decided to use DP instead and got a new cable for it.
To my surprise the first time I tried to use the DP the screen was blinking. I thought it was just the drivers to the new gpu that needed updating, so I did that, and the blinking on and off went away but instead I got a very glitchy field an inch or two thick at the bottom of the screen! It didn't go away after turning the screen on and off once, but when changing to a different source and leaving it there for a minute or two until it seemed to have gone away I went back to the DP source. There was still a pixel or two thick glitch all along the bottom of the screen and it started growing again so once more I changed to an unused source and had to wait. After I finally fixed that I decided to play games, but in the middle of the session everything black suddenly turned blue instead but was fixed after turning the screen off and on again, but it happened again and it kept happening every time I tried to play any sort of game. The glitching also returned every time I started up the computer. I tried two other cables but nothing helped. In the end I came to the conclusion that the D-port on the screen must be defective and I'm a bit bummed over discovering it after the HDMI ports have worked perfectly for over 6 years.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm a student, so my Samsung monitor is the central hub for pretty much everything I do. During the day, it's all about productivity. I'll have multiple windows open for research papers, my word processor, and a few tabs for my online classes. The split-screen function is a lifesaver for this. In the evenings, it's time to unwind. I'll often use it for streaming movies and TV shows. The picture quality is amazing, and the colors really pop, making everything feel more immersive. Sometimes, if I'm feeling like a break from studying, I'll connect my console for a quick gaming session. The high refresh rate makes a huge difference, ensuring there's no lag, which is crucial for the games I play. All in all, my monitor adapts perfectly to the different needs of my daily routine, seamlessly transitioning from a tool for work to a source of entertainment.

Looking at the Samsung CFG70,

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Alright, so you're looking at the Samsung CFG70, the 27-inch curved one. I've spent some serious time with this thing, and let me tell you, it's a solid piece of gear, but you gotta know what you're getting into. First up, the stuff that matters most: speed. The 144Hz refresh rate is a game-changer. I play a lot of competitive shooters, and the jump from 60Hz is night and day. Everything just feels smoother, more responsive. It's like your mouse movements actually keep up with your brain. Pair that with the 1ms response time, and you've got a monitor that's built for no-compromise performance. You won't see any ghosting or smearing, which is crucial when every millisecond counts. And the AMD FreeSync is a huge bonus if you're running an AMD card—no tearing, just buttery-smooth frames. Now, let's talk about the visuals. Most high-refresh monitors go with a boring old TN panel to hit those speeds. Not this one. It's got a VA panel with Quantum Dot tech, and it makes a massive difference. The colors are incredible, really vibrant and rich. Blacks are actually black, not some washed-out gray mess. Playing something like Cyberpunk 2077 or The Witcher 3 on this is a treat. It's not just a fast monitor, it's a good-looking one, too. The curve, though. This is where people might have different opinions. The 1800R curve is pretty aggressive. For me, it's great for immersion. It feels like it wraps around you, especially in driving or flight sims.
