Love this giant giraffe!! This will be used in a jungle-themed nursery. I'll let my daughter choose what other jungle animals she wants. I saw this in my eye doctor's office. They have a little kid section with books, toys & this giraffe. Just charming. One thing Melissa & Doug, the packaging was horrible. No stuffing, so the box was bent, smashed, several holes poked in it. Since I had to pay a fee for large items, I expected better packaging. And it snowed & rained that day so the box was quite wet. But, the giraffe was covered in a nice plastic bag, so it was okay in the end.

Melissa and Doug charged me over $200.00 for this lion and giraffe and when I received them and they did not work for me I was told I could return them at my own expense. The total to mail these back was over $130.00. BUYER BEWARE! Have happily purchased from Melissa and Doug for 12 years will no longer spend money with a company who charges me for shipping and an oversized item fee on top of it and then charges me to return the product unopened and unused. Very disappointed.

Whatever you do, don't get this for a newborn baby

When I was born, my grandmother gifted me a Melissa and Doug Giraffe in the hospital. Said giraffe was absolutely marvelous...but also huge. Don't get me wrong, the kid will love it. It was a great addition to the nursery, and was fun to dress up and play veterinarian with growing up. But lo and behold, what happened when I was 16 and the 4' giraffe, now pushing two decades, re-entered my life? I had a much smaller bedroom, and no real reason to keep the giraffe other than the crippling guilt of having it for that long. We finally brought ourselves to give it to a good home (the people who bought it intend to dress it up, giving it jewelry, piercings, and even it's own labubu...they take it to raves), but that was still 17 years of having to cope with the guilt of having a 4 foot giraffe that your now aging grandparent gave you, their first grandchild, and having to figure out what the heck you're going to do with said 4 foot giraffe because you'll be going to college soon and it won't fit in your closet.
Just stick with a 16" giraffe plushie: Trust me, any future (grand)child/sibling's kid will thank you 🙏🏽🦒

I was so excited to receive this giant giraffe for our unborn daughters nursery! I thought it would be nice if she had something to look at during feedings and diaper changes.
