[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Oven preheats fine. While baking I can hear the gas going off, approximately 6-7 minutes. Then I hear a click/spark and I can hear the gas sound "whoosh", for maybe 1 minute, then gas goes off again. Doesn't seem normal. Is this correct?
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this about a month ago and am very happy so far with the performance of the range and oven. The oven is precise and I have baked bread, pie, and cookies and have had good results. The range is great and cleans up easily.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wasn't supposed to get a Maytag, but the builder couldn't get my brand. It's a beautiful stove and cooking on/and in it is easy. I still haven't had time to read all instructions! I gave it 4 stars because it's not easy to clean the cooktop. There are lots of little cracks to dig into, but there's another more difficult thing. The grates are very heavy since there are only 2 of them. (I've had 3 on past stoves.) And the way they interlock forces the need to remove both to clean even one small area on one side. I also noticed that three of the burners put out a whole lot of gas/heat which is unnecessary for small pot/pan cooking. I'm waiting to see the next gas bill because my first one was high considering I'd only been in the house for a month and cooked very little because of moving etc. I will have to contact the gas company. I think it's because it's using too many BTUs (?) from each burner? Not sure. The warmer drawer will not hold a deep lasagna pan. A safety issue (as I see it) is that when igniting a burner, all of them spark! Good think I didn't have something sitting on any when I first turned one on. Contractor told me this was an upgrade from the original, and perhaps it is with convection. The oven size is massive. With the holidays, I'm betting my gas bill will be very high. BTW, it's the ONLY gas item in my house.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Recently purchased the Maytag gas range to replace an 18 month old Frigidaire that had control panels replaced 3 times. We have used several Maytag appliances previously and decided to try the gas range. It has operated sufficiently since installation.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first two weeks with this stove have gone great! We have used all the burners, the oven and the warming drawer.
