Just wanted to tell everyone. That this set is awesome, my son is 8 and wanted a magic set really bad. Well let me say this, very good Quality and brings me back to when I was a child. We need more toys like this that will last longer then a day.

I bought 5 of these and plan to give them to my colleagues and to my nephews and their respective family... after all... there have been some really huge winners on America's Got Talent and this box of skills to be mastered my put my great nephews and nieces on the road to a Vegas contract... so I have invested in my greats' futures. I won't lie.. I want to learn and master these skills also.

My boys are fascinated with magic right now. This magic set is high quality but there are no instructions included. I assumed that it would be easy to retrieve instructions via the internet. You can find everything there, right?! Wrong! My boys (11, 9, 7) lost interest immediately due to lack of comprehension of how to perform the tricks. Annoying.

The mechanism that hides the ball broke after only a few tries. Has lots of small pieces so would also be nice to order replacement.

I came on the website with the intention of emailing to ask the manufacturers if they had destructions for this magic set. I pull up the set page and discover 2 sets of destructions for it! That is brilliant, very handy, many thanks for this. Do all the sets not have any instructions though or was ours just a glitch? Regardless, we are very glad to have some. I cannot wait for our kids to make us sit hour after hour watching their magic shows.
Cons: Poor Instructions

I'm a children's entertainer and wanted to see if this is something I would recommend to kids wanting to get started. No instructions is the biggest turn off. Poorly decorated. Wood is better than most plastic junk sets but still low quality.

Not sure why there aren't instructions but I see now reading other reviews that this is a thing. I've been going crazy trying to find them but alas, they were never there to begin with! Also, I wish there was a way to organize the components inside the wooden box. Am I missing something here? On the bright side, as always with Melissa & Dough, I really appreciate the that materials are wooden and some of the tricks that we could figure out are pretty fun.

Probably a quality product, but we cannot evaluate it. It did not come with instructions, the same problem others have had. Because it is "magic" obviously it is difficult to figure the tricks out without those instructions. It goes without saying I have a sad little girl regarding her Christmas present...me too.
