Doesn't work properly

It is unfortunate that this dock will just not work properly. I have tried everything to get the network and video to work on this thing with no luck. I am using it with a newer Thinkpad Windows laptop that definitely supports this dock. Disappointed.

It has Intel network chipset!

I use the advanced Intel functions like teaming and VLAN, so I need a docking with Intel chipset. This dock has that, and it works like a charm!
Unfortunately the dock has issues with running my Philips 4K monitor @60Hz, but it works @30Hz.
I've used StarTech support, which could not solve my problems, but they had a workaround that I will test. They were very helpful and skilled.

DOCKING STATION

Been using it for 3 yrs I don't have any issues with it, as long as you use what you were told works, i use a Samsung 4k screens with an XPS thunderbolt 3 cable and i load the latest software i never had an issue, i,m not sure what some guys are running, the cheaper screens are the issue, not this device or maybe the computer or cable.

Great docking station

Been using this docking station for almost 4 years. I have a Dell XPS 15 as my laptop and I have 2 Acer 4K displays attached as well. I also recently added a Lenovo to the mix and used Microsoft's Mouse Without Borders program (free). And my mouse and keyboard work as expected on all 4 monitors (2 laptop displays, 2 4k displays).
No issues at all setting this up. Worked as expected right out the box. Not sure what the issues are that others have. I would definitely buy this again and recommend it to anybody that wants to attach 2 extra monitors to their system.
