I bought these and sound quality and volume were just not what I'd hoped. Guess I'll stick with Klipsch. Plus the cables tangle constantly.

I was really excited to get these - loved the ideal of wood and the colour pallette. Sound has an echo to it. Fairly clear, but not as rich as I had hoped. Cable does tangle a bit, but seems pretty robust. Just got them today, so let's see in 6 mo. My teenage son also found the sound a bit hollow. Not a bad price, but disappointingly, like everything else, made in China. I had really hoped to support a company manufacturing in NA, but not likely for this price. Buds are comfortable in the ears, and no trouble connecting to my phone anTro laptop with the jack.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
