WOULD NOT TURN ON

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this yesterday, set it all up and it refused to turn on. It was hard to get the glass jar out of the box. Very tight fit. Now have to return it and won't buy another one!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Oster has been the brand I've bowed to for decades, until now, and I am honestly sick over this. Bought the blender (in red) with expectations equal to that of other Oster products I've purchased over the years, but this one was different. The blender isn't even capable of making a smoothie, as it doesn't seem to have pull at the center where the blades are to get the ingredients there to blend. We cannot use this for milkshakes --- I really wanted to carry on the banana milkshakes and rootbeer shakes (+ more) of long ago, but cannot. I'm out the money, of course, for the blender, but more importantly (I think) is that I'm out the trust in Oster. I am sorry to say that I cannot see myself ever purchasing another Oster product (unless it's the old kitchen center again, which I'd near to leave my family for lol Loved that thing!) I really hope that Oster is able to get back the level of quality that so many have counted on.

Good for the Price!

I bought this blender over a year ago. It isn't used on a daily basis, maybe 10 times in the past year, but for the price I paid it does the job of blending up fruits and veggies (I recommend cutting everything up and putting liquid first before sticking the solid ingredients in the blender). Good quality blender for someone who doesn't necessarily use it every day!

Worst blender ever.

My boyfriend bought me this blender a year ago, i love the brand, the design, the color, but it didn't mix well. I tried to make an smoothie, fail, it was pieces of fruit with milk. Tried to make a salsa the garlic was almost complete. Worst experience ever

My wife bought this thing about a month ago an it's not worked right the week after we owned it sorry bad reviews as far as I'm concerned maybe they will reimburse here with a better one possible we have like oster products in the past but up until this one

Poor Rotation

This blender does not pull food down into the blades like it should. Even with liquid addition it doesn't pulverize well. I looked to purchase a different blade like the milkshake or the tower with 2 blade sections, but nothing available to improve it. So very unhappy with the money spent on this! My daughter and son both have purchased ninjas that they love.
