Overall I really love the griddle!

I really liked the grill/griddle! I was surprised at the nonstick feature! I made pancakes a lot on it and they slide right off! The griddle cooks food evenly and heats up quickly. I gave it 5 starts because I was very happy with it from cooking the pancakes to steaks. The steaks came out tender and cooked pretty much perfectly. The only thing I noticed was the drain holes on the side sometimes splash so grease splashes out of the drip pan but nothing to bad. Also the handles are hollow on the inside of them which traps water while trying to wash the pan. Also not that major since the griddle is actually very easy to clean. Overall I really love this product.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Versitile Grill

The DuraCeramic grill was very durable, easy to use and easy to clean. It was a breeze to set up and cooked a variety of items with ease. From burgers to quesadillas to pancakes, it cooked each item quickly and perfectly. The surface of the grill heated up evenly on all parts of the surface and the non-stick coating was very effective. This grill provided a great alternative to using a standard oven. I would not use this as a substitute for a standard grill or broiler as steaks do not cook as well as on a standard grill. I look forward to using this product often in my house. Disclaimer: I received this product as a sample to review.

Needs Modifications

I received this product as a sample to review and at first glance the griddle/grill looks great. The cooking surface was a good size. The plastic base, however, seemed a bit thin and I don't feel it will hold up to prolonged use. I like the idea of two surfaces in one appliance. The drip hole did not totally line up with the pan below and some of the grease fell onto the counter. I was glad I had a glass cutting surface below and not my counter. The foods I prepared turned out fine but I did encounter a bit of trouble in cleaning up after I grilled some burgers. The general concept is good, but some modifications need to be made in order for me to truly recommend it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poor performance

This was purchased based on reviews that this was the "best of the best" - virtually nothing would stick, easy to clean, high temperature settings for searing food, etc. I seasoned it according to the instructions, but after several weeks of use, the only thing that hasn't stuck are pancakes. Eggs, hamburgers, and chicken breasts all stuck and left a mess that was extremely difficult to clean. I'm extremely disappointed with the performance of this product and may just toss it rather than spend my time trying to clean it after every use. Also, the user instructions are virtually useless - no guidelines as to what temps are best for what foods, whether you can use metal utensils, etc. After looking at other reviews, I discovered that others have had similar experiences as I have. Given the range of comments from "love it, best ever" to "this is a terrible product, everything sticks", I'm wondering if there is a quality control issue. If so, I'm one who ended up with a unit that was on the low end of the quality spectrum.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

NON STICK it's NOT!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Its a good average grill for meats but most other foods veggies and eggs stick to grill no matter how much oil you use.

bad product

I received mine as a gift less then 3 years ago, and thought it odd that 2 power cords came with it. Well now I know after about a year the first power cord stopped working and just now the second one has stopped. Also within a few months of owning this there are scratches on it and yes nothing metal touched it, Now to the grill part I used that once and had a very hard time cleaning it, Now both sides of the grill are brown and the thing just does not work anymore. I really like my eggs in the morning. Very bad buy.

Starts out great....but

I got this as a gift some time ago and at first I loved it. It grilled everything to perfection. But after a few uses, the nonstick surface was lost. Everything now sticks like glue to it and it takes some serious work to clean it. The griddle surface has also become discolored, with brown spots, but at least it still is nonstick unlike the other side for grilling. Very disappointed.

Neither durable nor non-stick.

I've had this several months and it hasn't lived up to expectations at all.
The edge lip is small and food falls between he grill plate and the base. The drip tray, while being as large as the grill doesn't extend past the grill so doesn't catch anything that goes over the edge.
The grill quickly lost its non-stick properties and is now as hard to clean as a stainless pan but you still have to use nonabrasive cleaners.
The cooking surface is small (too small for omelets in my opinion) compared to the overall size with a wider than required rim around the housing.
Doesn't heat evenly.
Customer service was helpful and sent a replacement but it has the same issues.
