I wish I had seen these reviews before purchasing. I have only used it 3 times and after night three when I woke up there was no mist, over half the water bottle was still full with the unit still on and the motor running louder and harder then before. I emptied it out again and tried to see if it would come back on. It started flashing a red light and after I emptied and cleaned it out it will run now but barely lets out any mist even turned up as high as possible and it sounds like it is running hard. I wish the packaging hadn’t been so difficult to open that I basically destroyed the plastic or I would take this back. I have purchased other brands of small personal humidifiers before to use at my job and they did not give me these problems.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great when it works

Bought this fm Target online. When it works I love it, but I have tried everything to keep it fm leaking all over my vintage wooden bed stand. No idea why it sometimes does that- w/ same size water bottle, not moving it or squeezing the bottle as directions indicate. I guess I wouldn’t recommend, as the problem is annoying (in the middle of the night, I hear my cat lapping up the water on the floor.)

Leaks!

I've bought these twice and each time, within the first year it would begin to leak from the bottom - the second time water got into the plug in the back and charred it!

Reservoir Full - Water Doesn't Stop

The troubleshooting features don't mention this problem I'm having - when the reservoir is full, the water still comes out of the water bottle. There doesn't seem to be a way for the connector piece on the water bottle to know when to stop letting water in. I feel like there must be something I'm doing wrong, but nowhere in the user manual is this mentioned, so I'm just going to assume there's a defect.

Purchased this while unexpectedly traveling with a sick baby. Super disappointed in its functionality. It has leaked several times as well as it running great for a short period of time before a red light flashing.
I’m frustrated and now will need to purchase a different humidifier.
Love the brand but not this specific product.

Disappointment!!!

I bought this item on Friday; I opened it on the next day, Saturday, to use it. It started to work and a few minutes later, less than 5 minutes, when I looked at it, I noticed no mist. So I turned it off and looked inside the reservoir. It was full of water and leaking. I reread my instructions and reassembled the water bottle to see if that was the problem. It still leaked. I believe the problem is when the water bottle rests upon the base, the spring inside the water bottle mount opens completely up and all the water empties into the reservoir. I would no recommend this product until the problem is fixed. Otherwise I believe it would be the ideal personal portable humidifier.

I don't know what people are complaining about. If you are literate, then read the manual and do as follows, it is a great product, works perfect. Just clean it with vinegar every 3 weeks like the instruction says and you won't have any problem,
