This drive I installed so I could use as a boot up for Win 10 and it works just fine. Very fast-about 5 times faster than the SSD I was using to bootup. The price is a little high but you get what you pay for and so far, no problems with running hot.
Pros: Lightweight
Cons: slightly overpriced
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very happy with performance

Drive has been working extremely well with an older H97 chipset with PCIe Gen 2x2 on the M2 slot. Read and write are bottlenecked by the older M2 slot to about 800MB/s in and out, still better than I would get with SATA 6. I can definitely tell a difference in speed over the older 840 EVO that it replaced. I'm still considering an M2 PCI card but for now am very happy with as is.
Pros: Durable, fast
I would recommend this to a friend!

The one I received only reads/writes 2200/1800

I have an MSI X99A Gaming 7 and my speeds for my 960 PRO 512GB (onboard M.2 slot) are 2200/1800 or lower according to Magician, which is very close to the same as my 950 PRO 512GB (PCIe Adapter).
I have installed the drivers, disconnected all other drives and removed the M.2 PCI card for the 950, checked that AHCI and not RAID is selected in BIOS, installed and then removed Intel RST, even moved the video card to PCI slot 3, and played with BIOS and rebooted many, many times. The 960 PRO did run much slower (800MB/s) when I set it to PCH mode instead of Auto. Otherwise, the fastest read/write achieved in my system is 2400/1800.
The 960 PRO is still about as fast as the 950 PRO and costs a little less.
I don't know if the issue is with the motherboard or the 960 PRO. I would still recommend this drive to a friend because many others are seeing the advertised speeds - unfortunately, I am not.
MOBO: MSI X99A Gaming 7 CPU: Intel Core i7-6850K Processor RAM: CORSAIR DOMINATOR Platinum Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4 DRAM 3000MHz GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB SC GAMING OS: Microsoft Windows 10 Home 64 Bit BOOT: Samsung 960 PRO Series - 512GB PCIe NVMe - M.2 Internal SSD (MZ-V6P512BW)
Pros: fast but with caveats
Cons: fast but not as fast as expected in my setup
I would recommend this to a friend!

Performed on par with expectations. Runnung in a Z170 machine on an ASUS Maximus VIII Formula. Above average read and write speeds. Don't hesitate to purchase. You wont be disappointed.
Pros: super fast
Cons: expensive compared to lower performing products.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Super Unstable

I installed this unit on Z270X MOBO with i7-7700K cpu which is 2017 current and supposed to be M.2 friendly. First the drive wasn't recognised. When I finally got it working it was super unstable with multiple freeze on boot and BSOD. I have pulled the drive and reverted back to 850 EVO and my system has returned to stability. It's taken a month to get the "new" drive serviced and it still isn't back.
Cons: Did not meet expectations, Poor quality
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this SSD when it released, and I don't regret the purchase at all. I am glad to have one of the last MLC SSDs, a high performance durable powerhouse.
