works well, but....

I purchased this GE product to replace my old GE micro/convection oven. This was the ONLY under counter one that fit in the already established hole in my cabinet so my choice was very limited. It took several readings of the instructions to get used to when to use the non-stick tray for convection cooking. The instructions do not tell you to take out the glass turntable first so I had to Youtube it to figure it out. It cooks well. I have not yet used it for baking breads/muffins so I don't yet know if it will brown food the way it advertises. I also do not like they recommend using no papers products of any kind in there. I can assure you, my husband will not remember that!!! I think the product is overall very good, and would certainly recommend buying a micro/convection oven to anyone, but hopefully they would have more choices. Lastly, it does not come with (or apparently have an option for) stainless side panels to fill out any gaps btw the sides of the oven and the cabinet space it's in. The dial feature is a little weird - it feels like there are too many steps to take to get it to do what you want. It drives my husband nuts that the clock cannot be seen unless you open the door to the oven.

Strange annoying microwave features

Still exploring convection oven but as a microwave I only selected this because it was the only one that would fit my wall cutout from my prior GE Profile MW. Things I don’t like: 1. No clock that stays lit 2. Can only cook in 15 second intervals 3. Have to turn a knob then hit enter a minimum of 3 times EVERY time you cook something! Microwaves are meant for fast east cooking so this is ridiculous. 4. Very noisy when cooking. Makes a uncomfortable grinding type hum. 5. Blows air out the bottom right at you. Odd. Whoever designed this microwave doesn’t actually cook much with a microwave I am sure. It is very expensive to be so awkward and annoying.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I'm in my late seventies and I love the way this oven guides me through each step. There aren't many smart devices that are this easy to navigate. I've had GE Profile appliances since 1994 and I've never regretted it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Loved my old one, dissapointed with the new one!

Just got my my new advantium installed. This is my third because every house I move to I put one in. The newest is a hige dissapointment though. One of the most annoying things is the clock doesn't continuously display to keet a silly June 2016 regulation!! What is the piunt of having a clock if it isn't displayed?? Also, after putting in a wall oven and warming drawer, the door opening down instead of to the side means I have to stand on a step stool to get things into and out of the oven (and I am 5'6" tall). I am very disappointed with thos newest advantium and would return it if I could.

Product didn't work from Day 1

Once the product was delivered - we tried installing it after taking out our existing GE microwave. Had to increase the width of the cutout to install the Advantium. Once inplace - tried to switch it on... the product didn't show any signs of life. Placed a service call- got the tech visiting us in 5 days and recommending a huge part replacement. Trying my best to return the product and look for a replacement.
