Mama Bear doesn't work?

I bought this cute puzzle based on positive reviews. So far my son seems interested in it, and it is a nice next step after peg puzzles and allows for some imagination. However, I was disappointed when looking at the outfits that Papa Bear seems to have a work suit as well as an outdoorsy-type outfit, while Mama Bear seems to just wear housedresses and pajamas. Is it too much to ask for Mama Bear to have one work-appropriate outfit?
Pros: Cute, Imaginative
Cons: Mama No Work Clothes

We have an older version of this puzzle that was purchased for my, now 20 yr old, daughter when she was 2 or 3. It withstood the test of time with her and with her younger sister. It has now begun being used by my 2 1/2 yr old grandson and he loves it! The pieces are very sturdy and the outfits are colorful and have not faded one bit even after 20 years! It was well worth whatever we paid back in "the day"!!! Awesome, awesome puzzle!!!
Pros: Can Withstand Use, Entertaining, Fun, Interactive

"Mom" bear only gets skirts and floral blouses?

Eh, frustrating that the clothes do not switch between the bears, really irritating for our kiddo. Also the "Mom" bear only has skirts and weird 50's housewife blouses? Kind of weird, especially in a house where Mom and Grandma wear pants when chasing after an energetic toddler.
Nice feeling wood pieces, and saturated colors though.

"Love this puzzle"

Bought this for my two year old daughter this past Christmas, and boy does she love it!!!! She has learned a lot about emotions and tells me why they are mad/happy etc. She loves picking out their little clothes to wear. I'm glad I bought this puzzle.

My grandson is on the Autism Spectrum and has never played independently until we bought this puzzle, when he was about 4 years old. This puzzle kept his attention longer than any toy before. He loved it and will still play with it occasionally now at 8 years old. Thank You Melissa and Doug your toys are our favorites!

Bear Puzzle prepares children for "real" puzzles

Gave this to my 22-month old grandson. He is ready for the next level of puzzle. He will need to be a bit older to fully grasp the fact that the faces reflect a mood - sad, happy, sleepy. He is also too young to keep the baby's clothes in one compartment, mom's clothes in another compartment, etc. so I had to sort them quite often. This was a good toy for his age if an adult helps. In a few months, I think he will really enjoy it. We had fun doing it together.
